We lost some things, Oracles took another hit after SR2017. I think that up to Legion CID I will play 90% CotD. But complaining doesn't help. Lets brainstorm some new builds. I won't focus on ogrun theme becouse its not finished. Whan CAN be nice: 1) Twins with Wrong Eye Oracles: max 2 free cards, aparition will probably won't work, no raptors. NOPE from me
Ravanes. I liked them in ravens before. It will be 8 free points max. I will think about it but no nice ideas for now. CotD We can build Rhyas brick, have raptors, Azrael and 11 free points. And best theme benefits from all 3. No seraph is drawback. I've got a feralgeist in Primal Terrors with Kallus 1. He's a nice homing beacon for the BB shot so you can make sure your warspears get the strength buff if they shoot before making it into melee. My Vayl2 list fit into ravens with literally zero modification, including WESJ, but I don't get any free stuff. As for Fyanna, in the traditional list, you can trade out an angelius for WESJ and the list stays basically the same. I might need to try her in CotD but at the moment I'm thinking of going back to my old Ravens list with her.

I have him in the Primal terrors theme and it all fits perfectly. I plan to test it a ton. My biggest gripe is that croak raiders are still $65 for a box >.<! |

I've got a feralgeist in Primal Terrors with Kallus 1. If you have points for only one more Gremlin Swarm are so much better it's not even funny. Stealthed incorporeal solo is insane contest piece againt many armies. Also they debuff jacks and battle engines and stop them from repairing themselves (but not with GW, so collosals are not immune). And they have Annoying and are more survivable (Arm 12 5 boxes to survive those spell blasts). When I've starded bringing them in people said they're waste of points. Until they've played against them. But stealth and incorporeal alone makes them worth more than 3 points. Khador particullary hates them. |

With AD they start in front of the swordsmen on one side with raptors on the other. With the feat and croak raiders the swordsmen can threaten 13 inches, same as the cavalry. That way I can have a strong alpha on both sides instead of one side being much faster than the other. |

Is the Ogrun Bokur worth it for our squishier casters, given our in-faction Shield Guard costs twice as much? I don't take him with squishy casters. I take him with large base casters. Squishy casters are usually much easier to hide with position. Where as Kallus 2...not so much. |

Back on topic, I'm considering a unit of shamblers to screen & maybe feed the pot in Oracles.

I don't know what to swap out. 2 max units of warmongers and warspears+UA, 2x hellmouth and BB adds up to 73 points. Dropping anything frees up at minimum 5 points, so slotting in a gremlin swarm is definitely do able but it leaves me with more extra points. Bokurs very cheap, but also Wrongeye projecting a Starcrossed bubble is at least as effective as Guard Dog, qnd you get a pow 18 heavy out of it. But I like the Protector with Vayl 1, Thagrosh 2, and Absylonia1. Vayl and thags have Incite/Manifest Destiny and weakness both to big guns and accurate melee. Abby always wants feat targets and Protectors both keep heavies alive and stick around to be healed by feat. Also, theyre fine Wild Aggression targets when you need to clear infantry. This is probably the best case scenario for Protectors using Retaliatory Strike. |

Instead of a Protecror,, take a Blind Walker if you're already taking Wrong Eye. Same point cost as a Protector (in CID), and you're ARM 20 with 8 more hp. You only lose out on Guard Dog, and the ability to buff the model from your caster. Some casters care more about that than others...
