Marshaled Hydras also avoid the most common problem that other marshaled jacks have: The inability to Shake. (Thanks, Focus Battery!). Plus it can take pretty good pot shots until it's charge time.

Not to be a poopy-pants, but the numbers don't crunch well if you want to marshal a pair of Hydra, *and* have arcanists. You have to spend 42 points, to have Sentinels and Invictors in equal measure, then 30 more points for the two Hydra puts you at 72 points That said, one Hydra and one Griffon leaves points for Arcanists, and your Caster can still take a pair of Heavies.

Ironically I feel like Vyros likes the the Dawnguard theme the least. I would agree, when the future releases come, hopefully he will want to take charge of what should be his theme.

I was thinking Kaelyssa, to give auto-hits, and Blur for Sentinels. While Blur is undoubtedly great, do you need auto-hits with Flank or is the +2 to hit enough? I think you will often go for heavy targets in the DEF 10-12 range, so you will rarely miss. Free charges and damage output might help more (Elara2 is ideal, Thyron is a possibility). Of course, we may find that protecting the Dawnguard becomes more important than maximising damage from the Myrmidons, in which case Kaelyssa is probably the best we've got.

Quick question: Helynna double Sentinels has been popular in some metas. Are people going to switch to Dawnguard theme for the list or does the loss of character 'jacks hurt too much?

It's super hard to say, Disco + Impy is a powerful combination especially under Helynna. Also Helynna really doesn't like Jack marshals so I could see it still being worth it to stay out of theme.

As far as V2 in the DG theme goes, while I know that maximizing Synergy is the way most people go with him, his card keeps tempting me to go combined arms with him to utilize his feat and Veteran Leader ability. I want to try this out:
(The Griffons are Sirens)
War Room Army
Retribution of Scyrah - Vyros2 w/ Guns
Theme: Legions of Dawn 1 / 1 Free Cards 75 / 75 Army
Vyros, Incissar of the Dawnguard - WJ: +27 - Imperatus - PC: 22 (Battlegroup Points Used: 22) - Griffon - PC: 8 (Battlegroup Points Used: 5) - Griffon - PC: 8 - Griffon - PC: 8 - Griffon - PC: 8
Arcanist Mechanik - PC: 2 Arcanist Mechanik - PC: 2 Arcanist Mechanik - PC: 2 Dawnguard Sentinel Scyir - PC: 0 - Hydra - PC: 15 Lanyssa Ryssyl, Nyss Sorceress - PC: 4
Dawnguard Invictors - Leader & 9 Grunts: 16 - Dawnguard Invictor Officer & Standard - Officer & Standard: 4 - Soulless Escort - PC: 1 - Soulless Escort - PC: 1 - Soulless Escort - PC: 1
THEME: Legions of Dawn ---
I had two points hanging out without anyway to spend it, so that's why there're three soulless on the unit.

For me, it's about the hits for the infantry. If you know the Sents are all going to hit, you can more comfortably commit average rolls plus one sentinel worth of damage to a target, then toss a couple at something else to give the jack flank. Feating Stealth onto everything sets you up for solid board position to score scenario / set up your alpha, and the guaranteed hits let you more accurately assign your chargers. I'm seeing this as an elite-crushing list, with poor odds into swarms of dudes... but maybe not as bad as I'd think off the bat.

I am really loving the look of Kae in Legions of Dawn as well currently here is what I have come up with.
Theme: Legions of Dawn 2 / 2 Free Cards 75 / 75 Army
Kaelyssa, The Night's Whisper - WJ: +29 - Phoenix - PC: 18 (Battlegroup Points Used: 18) - Hydra - PC: 15 (Battlegroup Points Used: 11) - Hydra - PC: 15
Arcanist Mechanik - PC: 2 Arcanist Mechanik - PC: 2 Arcanist Mechanik - PC: 2 Eiryss, Mage Hunter of Ios - PC: 0 Dawnguard Sentinel Scyir - PC: 0 - Griffon - PC: 8
Dawnguard Sentinels - Leader & 9 Grunts: 18 - Dawnguard Sentinel Officer & Standard - Officer & Standard: 4 Dawnguard Invictors - Leader & 9 Grunts: 16 - Dawnguard Invictor Officer & Standard - Officer & Standard: 4
Kae Delivers the Sentinels with Blur and feat, allowing them to advance up the board relatively unharassed. Once the arrive the Phoenix, the Flanking Griffon, and the Sents make up the core of my melee force with invictors firing over the top thanks to Tactician. Hydras make great jack marshal pieces but they have done too much work for me under Phantom Hunter to take them out of the battle group. Over all I feel like it is a great combined arms lists with a good melee core, good sustained shooting, and a decent assassination threat. (Hydrax2/Kae/E1)
