In theory DoA Snacking + Zombify + Posse = some sustainability.
MAT 6 Posse says that Zombify/Snacking tech has a pretty sketchy chance of success.

Arkadius in WWFF gets arc nodes. Interesting...
Probably prefers Targ to the Soul Slave because it's so easy to project Warbeasts out of his Control Area and distance is his best defence (doubly so when you need to assume he may be 14/13). But being able to give the other Fury-strapped Farrow Warlocks in WWFF +2 Fury a turn is an interesting prospect. Carver with all his spells in play and one camp. Helga able to upkeep Defender's Ward, Cyclone, Distraction, boost, and still have a Fury. Or Midas casting four Battle Lusts reliably with the Boil Cauldron as well.
Kwaak and Gub are probably at their best in Carver. Immune to Knockdown high Arm Warbeasts do enjoy Enliven.
As if we didn't already have every Farrow Warlock preferring WWFF to Thornfall, this support takes them well over the edge. Even Midas, the most at home in Thornfall, probably runs a mixed Bone Grinder/Warbeast list in WWFF now.

I went through and went 'Midas, Arkadius, Midas, Midas' for the effects on pigs. There is no way you would glace at Thornfall for a competitive list- even for an infantry list. Carver gets his gremlins and free things, Arkadius gets Kwaak and Gub and a pile of free stuff, Midas gets the Cauldron, the Bone Shrines and Soul Slave, Helga never wanted pigs in the first place, and Sturm and Drang who cares. In the end it may be better that Blindwater gets their stuff first. Show just how bad the disparity is before Thornfall gets sorted. In the meantime, here's waiting on WWFF to run this new stuff

He doesn't care about the -1 def and arm either, as he dies regardless when someone attacks him

I'm really curious to see if the Cauldron can fix Midas's big threat range problem, or if it's too slow for that.
Honestly it's almost tempting to run it with Arkadius just to see if I can nail people from even further away than normal.
I'm not sure Arkadius necessarily wants Kwaak and Gub. Certainly not as much as Carver does.
Sturm and Drang get their Meat Thresher and the Soul Slave for a free TK. They were already approaching playable with a good model to cast their stuff on and now they have support too.
Bone Shrine feels like the biggest deal on paper for pigs. Arkadius was the only Warlock who was never particularly Fury strapped (and Midas sometimes, but the Cauldron fixes him up there) and Carver is the only one who doesn't love an arc node. Even if it is fixed in place...

It's kind of amusing me that the Blindwater releases give Blindwater a node, something they already had. Arguably making the Bone Shrine at least a bigger deal for the pigs.

Soooo... everyone else sees how easy it is to get the boneswarm corpses right? Like, run max field allowance of cauldrons, run a couple bone swarms and you can easily fill them up then give them some kind of damage buff and BAM! now you got hard hitting relatively cheap beasts.

I think the boneswarms are still meh. The max bones just bumps them up to where light beaters need to start at stat-wise, so essentially you'd only take them if you're already taking a cauldron for other reasons.
Kwaak and Gub are good with Carver, yeah. Arkadius has Hyper Aggressive though. With Enliven... well yeah.

My secret favorite model here is the Husk. Reactive spray, Death bomb, Hyper Aggressive. Looking forward to camping him on flags and leaving opponents with a damned if you do, damned if you don’t. Yeah lots of models could kill it without too much worry, but you’re still forcing your opponent to use specific pieces to kill it.

You can't get +2 fury a turn from bone shrines, they have the same worsing,az wracks where you can only pull pnce per turn no matter hiw many shrines are around.

I think a list with Barnabas Lord of Blood, some boil masters, and a couple of bones swarms might be a decent list. I mean pow 17, armor 18, with a possible 11 inch threat and the ability to heal itself. Oh and minus 2 for enemy models to hit while within two inches. Not only that but Barny LoB likes corpses too. Something like the following; Blind Water Theme: BLOB +23 - Wraslter 16 -Bone Swarm 7 -Bone Swarm 7 -Bone Swarm 7 - Soul Slave (free) Boil Master 6 Boil Master 6 Gatorman Posse (Min) 10 Gatorman Posse (Min) 10 Gatorman Posse (Min) 10 Swamp Shamblers 10 Croak Trappers 4 Croak Trappers 4 (free Solo/bull snapper here) (free Solo/bull snapper here)

I'm new to Gators, so this CID is basically a giant Xmas present. I basically like everything I'm reading here, especially the change to Maelok's Death Pact. I'm not a great judge of whether a model is competitive or not, but a lot of the new models are giving me fun list-building ideas. Honestly, every single new option feels like it expands the play for this faction in a meaningful way.
VERY happy that we're getting some unique low-PC support pieces in the Bone Shrine and Void Leech, although I wish the Void Leech was an actual giant disgusting swamp leech instead of a zombified bog trog.
Is Longchops any good? I love the model and the concept, but at first glance he does not look like a 5-point model to me. Maybe I'm just not understanding the proper use for him.
Anyway, this all looks great. Gotta get my current Gator backlog painted in time for these releases!
