The title says it all pretty much. Experiences, lists welcome.

Check out Evan's demo of it on Arcane Assist (Youtube). He recently did a match that impressed me more favorably than I was initially disposed towards. Lurch was more effective than I anticipated in freeing up non-linear charge lanes for beasts. While he wouldn't be my first choice in theme, he certainly was better than I thought he would be.

This one? youtu.be/rQ2KPYVLAywI'm leaning towards something like this: (Xerxis 1) Tyrant Xerxis [+28] - Agonizer [0(6)] - Archidon [10] - Bronzeback Titan [18] - Rhinodon [12] - Tiberion [22] - Titan Gladiator [15] Mortitheurge Willbreaker [4] Tyrant Zaadesh [4] - Basilisk Drake [8] - Basilisk Krea [0(7)] Paingiver Beast Handlers (min) [5] Paingiver Beast Handlers (min) [5] I've also been thinking about incorporating more Drakes and Kreas in the list, as the Krea is just a nasty little monster when it can flank buffed by the feat. I like to use Zaadesh with X1 because his Krea can potentially become P+S16 + 4d6 without even charging.

I'm really not seeing IW titan spam outside of X2.

I'm really not seeing IW titan spam outside of X2. Zaadesh2. He might end up liking Exalted Legion more, but he likes his beast brick.

I'm not sure it's really viable. I'd like to try it, but it seems incredibly slow. And that is a massive downside to have in SR17. The only one that really fixes the Titans' speed issue is X2.

The crap answer to that is viability for a Titan herd is largely contingent on scenario and opponent. I have played Zaadesh2 in IW, and between Counter Charge and Hyper-Aggressive, it can move surprisingly fast, when you want it to. It's bigger issue is a lack of solos and magic weapons, at least the Zaadesh2 version. without at least one Shaman (likely need more) you're going to get boned by the first incorporeal model you run into.

I've played a lot of Zaadesh2 before IW (and the final SR17) and his entire cloud playstyle is slow, if not cripplingly so. But I didn't play him with more than 2 Titans. I fear that with a wall of SPD4 heavies he's going to have a lot of issues not getting jammed out of scenario, especially when facing control.
I could see him with Archidons, but I'd leave the Titan brick to X2, who can fix their massive weakness.

An Archidon or 2 complement the beast brick. Siege Animantaraxi lessen the fury burden while giving you guns. The biggest issues with IW are access to solos and units for Scenario, not speed in scenario.

Exactly. It's specifically the Titan brick that I don't want to play outside of X2. Because such a list WILL have scenario issues, as will anything with SPD4 and no expendable models. It would most certainly be thinkable to play other beasts with Zaadesh, especially Archidons. I just don't want to buy like ten of those. Animantarax is certainly an option, but it is extremely sad without Extollers. And once we're talking about two of those it starts to beg the question of why we're not playing Winds.
Now Shamanspam might be an idea with X2. Similar to the old Drakespam.

The question is: Why would you want to play X1 in IW? What makes you pick this caster? Is it just Lurch and DW? Those are both single target, so you get the same benefit by just taking a Titan in any other list.

Feat and free Agonizers go nicely together.

That's one reason, another one is Hyper-Aggressive that helps immensely with speed issues. I like both of his upkeeps on beasts. Reposition on a Drake can be very useful either to move back to safety after spraying or step into melee to grant the Flank bonus to the Krea. DW is mean either on Tiberion or the Archidon. I think with Hyper-Aggressive and the Krea it is pretty decent into shooty stuff. Maybe I should even bring an Aradus too.

I see. I guess I'm too stuck in "does this beat Cryx? No? Not interested"-mentality. Those are a lot of neat innteractions.
