So I i was looking at my protectorate and i just felt like there was something off. Like some things just didn't look religious enough. Like honestly i expect people out on a crusade of this magnitude to be bedect with religious iconography. So I'm slowly going to be covering and adding more religious iconography where i think it makes sense and where the model just doesn't look deus vult enough. I'm busy with work and school so i imagine this thread is going to be updated very slowly but ill do my best. First of thyra, angel of sorrow.   |

TWO pairs of wings? That's like, TWICE as holy! She looks great, this thread is off to a good start! Based on biblical angel hierarchy 4wings would make her a cherub. Which is like the second holiest of angel types. And there are like 9 types. So more than twice as holy. |

Hello all sorry I have not posted in a year. But I was working on a "Collosal" project. This is the third time I've tried to post this So you don't get any witty comments. Just look at the model.   Below is an effigy of the first female minute saint. The sculptor was wracked for impropriety.  Banner dedicated to heirarch sulon.  And a piece of the First Wall to power the whole thing with artifact energy.  |

Damn, it looks very impressive and the details are really cool and thematic! Well, except perhaps for the racy statue, that feels a bit out of place at first glance (although I guess old Christian artwork of naked people is not unheard of).

The statue is a bit of a sore topic for me cause I failed in the original idea. Originally I wanted a naked emaciated person to be nailed and impaled to the shoulder by the swords. (Like an alternative punishment to being wracked) The original model I had in mind did not physically fit well, and this was the best alternative I had that fit. Then when I started painting the skin color looked out of place, so I painted it bronze. So I was like ok. The person got dipped in bronze and then nailed to the shoulder, it looks better this way. (That seems like a sufficiently cruel and unusual old testament punishment) but then all my friends kept getting confused and thinking its just a statue so I just agreed with it since that was everyone's first though anyways. And since I like racy statues, I'm fine with it. I will own the raciness of this statue. Would it be more thematic if it was on fire🔥? |
