Its just its such a big expensive ol thing. Its like something OK on a warbeast, but just feels unpleasant on a Gargant. See, this is kind of a funny instance, where not having conditional free charges would make people happier than occasionally having free charges.
This just makes no sense... It has that rule because crocs have it. Rule wise if it's described as a strongbeater by himself it shouldn't probably charge 12" by himself all the time... I know the Sea King charges that much but it's not rocking 3 initials and Assault.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's fine and have no complaints about him having it. It's just odd how somwtimes people will complain more when you get a conditional benefit than if there was no benefit at all.

A range 6 debuff spell sounds like an excellent way to get themselves killed. They'll be Enliven bots with the odd spray for de-jamming or a spot of healing. Long it's their priced accordingly they'll make beast-heavy lists. Man Eater is a bit funny. You should not be wasting your Dracodile charge attack on a warrior model. I would think the Gargantuan would be more interested in eating the beasts than the people. The way it was teased is that the solo gets 2 activations. Not just two spells per turn. So 1 activation he walks up and cast mudfoot. then activates again to walk away and cast something else. But that's if that tease was accurate and stays through the CID Hmm, that's actually quite interesting and promising if it works that way.

And then a theme benefit gives repo 3" and he walks 13" (SPD 5?) in one turn and casts 2 spells... suddenly it's magic flash!

It's just odd how somwtimes people will complain more when you get a conditional benefit than if there was no benefit at all. This is because every model can be considered to have a "budget" that it gets to spend on stats and abilities, and they feel like a conditional or niche ability takes up part of the budget that could have gone to something more consistently useful. While this isn't exactly wrong, we don't know how much of the "budget" gets used on such abilities. Theoretically the cost should be low to match its overall impact (especially considering that its charge targets are more likely to be non-warrior models). The only time this can be a significant problem is when several of these abilities pile up, almost assuring that the model ends up underpowered due to too many conditional or niche abilities. It's also worth noting that as a beast's fury stat increases, the value of a free charge goes down. So on a model like the bull snapper, it's incredibly useful because it's only fury 2 and warrior models are its intended targets. The dracodile is fury 5 and should ideally be cracking heavy armor, which means that it likely won't get the benefit anyway.

Exactly. If they're considering that to be part of his "kit" and using that to define what else he gets or doesn't get along with his points cost, cut Man Eater and give him something else or reduce his points cost.
