Yeah, Mac, keep em coming! I hope to get back out to Comics and Gaming at some point, and so maybe I will get to witness your prowess from the other side of the table. Don’t know about “prowess” I’m pretty mediocre haha. But I like to think I’m a pretty fun guy to play against. You’d have to ask Nahualli for sure though, my lame jokes only go so far in a game

I always welcome more games in my life for sure. I don't think I am fun to play against, but I try to give a good fight. macdaddy, you should not stop posting reports, it is very sad we have so few games on videos or blogs we can learn from.

New report coming at ya! This time Kromac 1 takes on some dirty Trolls and I continue to desperately get work done in Kromac Beast form! My opponents list: *to the best of my memory* Madrack 1: SotN -Pyre Troll -Mauler -Impaler Max stone -Northkin Elder Champs (red bases) -Skaldi Champs (Blue bases) 2 X Fire Eaters 2 Fell Callers Champ Hero Feralghiest My List was the same the grymlin swarm is the wooden medium base and the gobbers are proxied by lynus and edrea Deployment and Scenario
We were playing outlast. My opponent won the roll to go first and I chose the side with the forest because that house is in a really horrible place. Turn 1: Trolls:
Pretty much everything runs. Madrack tops off the stone. Stone generates fury to full and waddles forward chanting whipping winds. Circle:I also run a lot but I play more passively avoiding his threat ranges and giving him some space to come into the zone a little further. I send the skinwalkers into the right zone Because I think they can hold their own with proper use of the minifeat and the house and forest funneling the champs. Kromac puts Inviolable resolve on the skinwalkers and puts Wild aggression on the stalker. My gobbers make a puff cloud and the rest of my army just kind of hides behind the forest. Turn 2:TrollsStill Lots of running. Fire eaters spray the skiwnalkers but wiff horribly. Madrack pops even ground and walks up to the flag. The stone awakens to full and pops aura catching everyone. Circle:
Wolves ambush on the left flank. Kromac upkeeps IR and WI. I get some charges off on the champs with the wolves but do no meaningful damage. I spread out to the threaten the stone and backlines. Skinwalkers pop minifeat, kill all but 1 stubborn fire eater, and jam the champs with 1 skinwalker who is preventing charges thanks to the minifeat. Kromac moves up aggressively. Casts Bestial and camps 2. My stalker charges a fire eater, disables him with a boatload of damage warping strength. My opponent passes his tough check. I buy an attack, do a bunch more damage, fire eater fails the tough check. Cast sprint and move back to exactly where I started. My pureblod and wyrds kill the last 2 fire eaters and stay out of champ threat ranges. Gorax hides behind the forest and the grymlin swarm bases my flag. My gobbers pop a smoke cloud and puff contentedly Score: Trolls: 0 Circle: 1Turn 3:Trolls:Fell caller puts war cry on the left champs. Other fell caller puts March on the right champs walks back and tries to spray the wolves but fails. Left champs manage to kill 2 skinwalkers and the last fire eater damages another like a boss. Stone awakens to full and pops strength with the aura. The backmost scribes face the wolves bravely. The Runebearer uses tactician to base the flag and cats guided hand on the right champs. The right champs kill the 3 wolves and stay towards the back of the zone. The mauler puts rage on the impaler and waddles. The imapler moves up, snipes himself, Boosts a shot at the stalker, Hits and crits and does a moderate chunk of damage with a boosted roll. He smites the stalker 2 inches away. Pyre troll moves up, los a shot at my pureblood and misses but the deviation catches the pureblood, a stone and kromac. Madrack waddles back to avoid bestial, pops even ground and discards 2 fury he also feats. Gobbers make another cloud and the feralghiest hides at the back of the zone. Score: Trolls: 1 Circle: 1

Circle: Kromac drops Wild aggression on the stalker and upkeeps IR. Fire does not go out on him and does a couple damage. So no charges is really sad. But I think I can still do some work...maybe...hopefully. My grymlin swarm runs into the blue round zone to contest as he now has 0 magic weapons close enough to threaten it. My stalker stands up and runs into the forest warping prowl. Kromac puts up warpath and wild aggression on the pureblood Feats, cuts for 6 damage, goes beast mode puts wraithbane on the pureblood, My goal is to murder this dirty pyre troll. He walks and jumps into reach range. I manage to kill it and cast sprint to get back behind the flag but I am on 0 camp and in champ charging threat... Stones port the pureblood and with all 4 bought attacks under wild aggression I kill 1 champion even after warping strength. CURSE YOU SANGUINE BOND AND TOUGH! He gets a few ret strikes but only 2 connect and do a handfull of damage no crippled aspects thank goodness. My skiwnalkers flail uselessly and somehow manage to not kill the fire eater again or finish any champs. My wyrd blue wyrd shoots at the impaler but does very little. My grey wyrd shoots at the champ hero but fails to kill it. My wolves walk and fail to kill the fell caller. Gobbers walk and plop a cloud down so champs can see kromac to charge him. Score: Trolls: 2 Circle: 2Turn 4:Trolls:Hilariously this turn ends with the mauler popping rage on the impaler, who walks into the could and one shots kromac in a hilarious display of an impaler finally being relevant. I also did not realize this, but Madrack 1 could have walked into range is his champs kill the pureblood which we measured by replacing the pureblood with the metal large base. Ummm...an impaler was my downfall...that was...unexpected... Haha I think I should have left the pyre troll and used the wyrds to soften him up, finish him with kromac and still have fury to camp so I survive that assassination run and can grind on attrition after his feat turn. My pureblood was...depressing. He mathematically does about 30 damage average (assuming all boosted amt 6's hit def 14) Which exactly kills the champ unit. But no knockdown tough was my downfall. If I kill at least 2-3 champs I I can secure that right zone by using the pureblood to give a skinwalker magic weapons and killing the ghiest. Or just spraying it. I use the wolves to keep jamming and bogging down his army and my stalker keeps playing the charge, warpath, sprint game with the red champs and I keep falling back from them. I could have pulled off an attrition win this game but I got greedy and went beast mode on the Pyre troll when I did not need to. Camping was just the flat better alternative. Told you, jump assassination is a bad idea most of the time . Even when I had the chance, I am opting to not committing to it unless my chances are stupid good. In this case is not an assassination attempt, but it causes the same effect, making you loose your too much fury. This happened exactly to me some time ago against Cryx. I tried to kill a Wraith Engine. Lost all my fury trying it and I left it on a few boxes, dying the turn after that. Occassions where going melee with him has worked for me: * Killing protectorate monks. * Removing contesting infantry. * Killing wounded objectives. * Killing a heavy that has less than 10 boxes left.

I really want wild hunt to be good. I think ambushing wolves has a lot of potential, also I think it we had pathfinder on more of our living beasts tracker would be amazing theme perk. Here is my attempt at a workable list.
War Room Army
Circle Orboros - Tanith the diet coke of Denny
Theme: The Wild Hunt 3 / 3 Free Cards 75 / 75 Army
Tanith the Feral Song - WB: +31 - Shadowhorn Satyr - PC: 12 (Battlegroup Points Used: 12) - Shadowhorn Satyr - PC: 12 (Battlegroup Points Used: 12) - Gorax Rager - PC: 7 (Battlegroup Points Used: 7)
Wolf Lord Morraig - PC: 8 - Wolf Lord Morraig (Continued)
Reeves of Orboros - Leader & 9 Grunts: 16 - Reeve of Orboros Chieftain & Standard - Chieftain & Standard: 0 Reeves of Orboros - Leader & 9 Grunts: 16 - Reeve of Orboros Chieftain & Standard - Chieftain & Standard: 0 Wolves of Orboros - Leader & 9 Grunts: 11 - Wolves of Orboros Chieftain & Standard - Chieftain & Standard Bearer: 0 Warpborn Skinwalkers - Leader & 4 Grunts: 15 - Warpborn Skinwalker Alpha - PC: 4 Lynus Wesselbaum & Edrea Lloryrr - Lynus & Edrea: 5
THEME: The Wild Hunt ---
GENERATED : 11/27/2017 02:43:29 BUILD ID : 2055.17-11-21
The premise of the list is to replicate a poor man's Denny 1 gun line. The satyrs are bad versions of stalkers, slower but more attacks and open fists. Between scything touch and primal you can get 4 point armor swing so they might not be bad at assassinating casters. The skinwalkers are primarily in the list so Tanith can hide behind them and to contest zones. Lynus and Edrea are in the list under the assumption the cid changes stick and Edrea gets wind blast. If not, the runner up choices are double war wolves for easier scything touch placements, Lanyssa or double gallows groves. I think the list has enough volume of attacks to attrition okay, Tanith's kit plays well into assassination and there are a ton of bodies give scenario a go. So guys think this might be workable?

dychotomy I honestly think Tanith runs the theme best. She can reliable remove multiple heavies a turn with reeves, affliction, and clever application of scy touch. I have found ambushing wolves to be great if your opponent lacks a moderate amount basic infantry removing tech. However, guns and basic infantry tech deals with them trivially and it is incredibly depressing. You really have to make the most out of the Turn 2 "clump up to avoid ambush" thing your opponent will almost always do. If you cannot take advantage of that turn before they spread out, you are going to find yourself in an uphill better. When tracker is relevant its super relevant. The issue is is some games it literally never comes up, and that's....a really sad place to be. If there are no relevant forests on the table, that's a whole major aspect of your theme just...gone. Having said that Warpwolf Stalkers and Woldwyrds are excellent at taking advantage of tracker. Never forget the 10 1/2" charging threat of a woldwyrd with gunfighter. It can and will take opponents off guard. Stalkers charging through forests is also just amazing.

If you're playing Tanith without Loki you're doing it wrong. He's far too good to ignore and gives the wolves exactly what they want. A way to safely out threat an enemy heavy and reliably apply power swell to it. Admonition stays on Loki and he becomes rage inducing frustratingly hard to kill.
