Hi
I will be in a 64 men tournement where it seems there will be a big part of hordes armies and mostly lots of legion armies (really really little khador and cygnar for now).
Have we a caster that is really strong againts legion ?
What are our best builds/lists/warlock to counter a heavy legion meta?
What are our best builds/lists/warlock to counter a heavy HORDES meta?
What would be your choice and pairing/lists ?
Thank you for your help !!

Well iam not that experienced aggainst Legion, had just a 50 Point game aggainst them. I had Ragnor with EBDT and MK. After my feat he Almost made no damage and my POW 25 MK Raged 2 Heavies a round thill i killed his caster. They hit really hard, even the shredder are annoying. Make sure, that they dont hit you first. Only when Ragnor is there ...

I think Doomy 2 has REALLY good game in to most of what legion does. He will out threat them, and our beasts absolutely murder legion beasts. If you are worried about hellmouth, if you bring 2 beasts (two models who are hard to kill at range, and put them b2b (see the pic) he can not drag either one of them without first killing the other (and that is usually very hard), so with a list like PoD with many heavies, you can neutralize one of his best abilities completely. Legion also HATE the earthborn. It hits hard enough (with Rage) to murder a legion beast, and it threats far, and it is sturdy enough that they need to commit way more than 15 points to one round it. Usually they one round heavies by shooting it first, and then going in with a beast, but with the EBDT that doesnt work since he is immune to fire. They need to send in 2 cheaper heavies or something like a buffed carnivean to one round him, and then you can kill that piece and be up on points.

I really like doomie3 into legion. Implacability means the hellmouths can't pull you out of formation. His Scroll of Yolandi is great into any hordes matchup, and the maulers you'll be bringing are ideal for ripping legion beasts apart, especially on feat turn. If you do use him, the main thugs to watch out for are Proteus and grotesque assassins, who will prevent your healing.

I like Doomy3 for hordes in general. Implacability and admonition are strong into most matchups and you can play around GW when it comes to proteus/assassin to some extent. That said Doomy2 is still probably our best bet into legion as pointed above.

well thank you :-)
I was thinking Doomy2/Ragnor or Doomy2/Grissel2 so i think i have a pairing that can handle legion.
i still have not played doomy3 in mk3 but i will read and think of it thank you.

and thank for the drawing.
I understand the theory but is it really usable on the table ?

Completely. It is simply using the rules as stated. 'Directly towards' means by the shortest route, which two B2B models cannot comply with unless the opponent has lined up exactly in line with the target.
You may want to bring the image along with you the first couple of times you pull this off in your meta tho!

Keep in mind that B2B thing only works if the two models are perpendicular with the Hellmouth's drag route. Just putting them B2B is not enough. This, for example, does not prevent drags on the Mauler at all.

and thank for the drawing. I understand the theory but is it really usable on the table ? It totally works on the table with the hellmouth since it can not move. You know exactly where it will be. As mentioned, the two bases have to be lined up perpendicularly towards the hellmouth, so be sure that you declare intent to your opponent so that you both agree. Mathematically speaking it does not have to be "exactly" perpendicularly so there is even some wiggleroom.
