Hey everyone, I am a minions lurker who has been looking to get into the faction but mostly I play Ret. Recently I was able to pick myself up Dahlia and Skarrath for really cheep and I thought I would ask about her here since not many people in the Ret forums would know much about her. So what is your opinions of her in Minions who does she's go well with? Also what does she do well without the support that minions can give her. What does she and her scaly friend like the most both across the table from them and running beside them in and out of faction. Thanks in advance for any advice you can give.

Didn't you ask in the "Advice to get into Gators" thread?

Yes I did but sadly most of the advice I got was about Gators in general such as castors and the new theme. I was hoping for a little bit more advice on these model specifically. If you feel this is to redundant understand.

Fair enough.
In faction, Jaga for Grave Wind, Arkadius for Forced Evolution, Sturm for TK, Rask because he buffs the world. The Snake has Pathfinder via Mistwalker, a long base threat range, high Defense, is very accurate, and helps the rest of the army be accurate as well. Anything that ups hitting power, defense, or threat range is good. She was great versus Una2 when that mattered, especially with gunfighter spray.
Independent of Minions, they are best vs Hordes due to Dahlia being unattackable. It is harder in Ret because of the tendancy for Friendly Faction buffing only and Haunting Melody and Wailing sharing a similar space. Consider them into casters like Kaya3 who buff defense, the Snake can boost to roll 4D6 to hit, Paralyze, then your army finishes the wee wolf off. My biggest regret was that Mirage and Sentry with Garryth are FF. Rahn can TK the Snake and can use the Pathfinder.
See the video thread, Arkadius vs Madrak for the Dahlia punking his while army, and Sturm vs Morghoul for Dahlia contesting a zone vs his whole army.

To add onto this, the lessers and especially dahlia and skarath are the minions fury management. Swamp gobber chefs can do fine, but why not just be able to take in more and have a larger toolbox for the price of that one beast. Dahlias kit also helps with bringing larger battle groups by being able to shut down unwanted frenzies with charmer. Snek takes buffs massively well, so a forced evolution or defenders ward makes skarath a stupidly hard to remove beast at def 16.
