So I had an idea: what's everyone's take on having regularly scheduled discussion threads?
For example, every Thursday we could have Target Thursdays, where we'd pick a problem 'caster, model or list archetype and discuss how to effectively apply Protectorate.
In addition, I'm also looking for suggestions on how to make the PoM subforum here a better place to be. I love engaging with players and the community, and any ideas on how we can do that better is quite appreciated.
In the meantime, keep rollin' them dice.

Target Thursdays sounds like an interesting idea. Maybe start with our ADR casters from this season.

maybe an ADR day? Going over some popular ADR pairings, and what specialist options work well as such?

Exactly! That would be something helpful for new players looking to get into Masters tournaments and list crafting with the specialists which doesn't get brought up much.

I like the idea of Target Thursdays. I would be willing to participate, although I am a bit of a newb to Warmahordes. (But I have been gaming and doing miniatures since the late '70s.) Something like that could help players at all levels.

This is actually an amazing idea and could really help the newer players with strategy.

I would really like this. Im still learning the faction and would love to have regular threads to look at and participate in as I play games.

What we are doing in the Skorne list, I'd really like to have over here, only book marked. Because Skorne gets trampled so heavily, we have a win-loss record and ratio for each caster, only tournament and steamroller games applied. The top post should be constantly edited with everyone putting in their win-loss records underneath. What's interesting is when people include battle reports when they give their current wins and losses as you can see why people lost and how you can fix it when you play that caster. At the same time it gives new players a break down of which casters are the easiest to play when getting into the faction (the heaviest played and the ones with the largest win ratios). Another nice thing is it clearly identifies which casters need more battle testing and gives us an opportunity to discuss why the win-loss records are so different between casters.
I like the idea of "Target Thursdays" though "Target Tuesdays" might be better, since so many shops like to do "Warmachine Wednesdays." It would give everyone a heads up for preparation before they go to war! Most tournaments are also on the weekends, meaning you'd get fresher battle brains on Tuesdays.
Another focus day that I'd like to see is, instead of how to play this caster/creature (the Target day), how to counter this caster/creature/strategy/list using Menoth. Like I'd love to see how people have countered the Zaal2 exhalted lists while using Menoth since it negates most of Menoth's tactics using brute force (17 arm vengeance units with 7-8 mat, base dmg 12 with 2 range). I'm guessing Harby's feat would do a good bit against the immortals (1 box), but against Hakaar and the guardians who have multiple boxes?

since someone agreed heavily with my suggestion for win-loss records and battle reports, I'd like to make a second request for it. Now that the 2017 battle season is under way, I think it'd be the best time.

If Hakaar is the one I'm thinking of(not overly familiar with skorne), Testament has a bizarrely good game into him by denying almost every soul on the field.

Hakaar only needs 3 souls to be maxed out. He then sits on those 3. It brings him up to 21 armor while he wields 2 massive swords and buffs the rest of the immortals. The list we use with him that I was speaking of involves 2-3 ancestral guardians, 20 immortals, him, and the immortal's attachments that can make them incorporeal for a turn with the use of 1 soul per unit. Zaal2, on top of that, can give all of the exhalted models, including hakaar and the guardians, +5 arm. In the last ring of tourny games, it was the Zaal2 exhalted spam and Makeda2 double kitty lists that got us the majority of our wins. Depending on faction, both lists had people prepping for them at the national level (immortals just need auto 1 damage. Mak2 double kitty needs fury deprivation and proper spam positioning)
