I just wanted to share how happy I am to see how many of the people that made great the PP forums are already registered and posting on this forum!
I'd like to thank the admins and all those that worked to make it a reality.

I cannot tell you how many times i typed out a huge post, sat back, thought "shit, i better not post this, i'll get in trouble", and then deleted it. I am really glad i have a place where i can freely say things like "Highshields are really cool models with rules worse than what i wiped my ass with this morning" rather than just staying silent. |

Would you believe i'm still holding back from habit ? Part of it is i'm not "officially" retired yet. I'm not modding, but i'm also not de-activated. There's a couple administrative things that need to work themselves out (which are not bad / hard / anything else negative, just time oriented...). After a short burst of personal opinion on the recent events, i'm trying to just chill out on those a little, mostly because i've said my piece and frankly it won't change a damn thing. There's other reasons too but while i'm still active i'd just rather not get into them. Still... it's nice to be able to look at stormguard and be able to say "These are shit. Utter shit. I won't use them because they are Firetrucking terrible, and if you use them, you and three generations back and forward of your family are Firetrucking terrible too, or you are just being a contrarian warmachine hipster, in which case you're still Firetrucking terrible."  |

I would recommend not insulting people. In my book, insult rules and models till the cows come home but not target individuals, even if you disagree. Feel free to say they are WRONG but wrong isn't an insult.

I can see how that's not easy to tell via text, but for those that know me as a regular poster from the boards, they know i often use absurdity to prove a point, but I also am one of the least likely people to sincerely resort to ad hominem attack. Now i can do it while being critical and also with profanity. Win/win/win for me. Again, this was a joke. I know Aegis got it. |

I totally agree with the sentiment of this thread. The PP Forums used to be part of my daily checklist of websites I would look in on during my breaks at work; I was dreading a long hunt for a replacement, then BOOM everything is back to a semblance of normality...
