Hello,
Yesterday I had the pleasure of going to a steamroller with 23 other people. I brought my Gatormen Instead of my "competitive Cryx List" because Minions are just soooooo much more fun. Last SR I ended up 2nd place with Scaverous and Witch Coven, I figured if I ended up 10ish that would be a win for me.
Turned up I finished first place. Take that minions haters!
Here's what I took.

We had 3 match to play (1 in the morning, 2 in the afternoon), my first opponent was Circle of Orboros with a Kaya3 heavy beast spam (2 warpwolf, Loki, Stalker, Gorax, an argus, 2 unit of mannekin and some stones), I randomly picked Rask for the first match (remember, I was there just to test out minions on the field and have fun). Scenario was Extraction. My strategy there was jam everything then wait it off. I figured my posse could survive a while then win on clock. I don't really like playing like this, but I found out I was missing on MAT to kill those big bad wolf. So I secure 1 victory point then sit back and take the pain like a boss.
Second match we have Recon scenario and I picked Jaga-Jaga (first game ever with that lovely lady). I was up against Butcher3 (oh noes, the humanity) and 2 kodiak, 2 juggernaut, pikeman cavalry, Orin, some kayazy eliminator and Ruin (maybe I forgot stuff but whatever). I play a lot against Khador, so even if I'm not really comfy with Jaga-Jaga, I know all about the Butcher and his shenanigans with gloom and flashing blade. With that in mind, my plan was the bait-and-switch tactic I often use with Cryx. I let my opponent go first (I want him close) and when he think he covered the terrain, I started hosing some warjack with the Croak raiders (not much damage on them and it's perfect like that, remember I want him to feel secure). Turn 2 I try to throw a warjack on the Butcher but failed with snake eyes, no biggy, but could have tried to assassinate Butcher with the croak. Still I feat, killed the eliminator with the croak and a pikeman plus a wardog and I jam some charging LoS. Then (here's the sneaky part) I place my mistspeaker, feralgheist and gobber chef just in front of Jaga-Jaga (wich I dropped her fury) to be sure I couldn't be in melee range of the Butcher for his Gloom spell. That's when my opponent fell into my trap, turn 3 he killed lots of posse and croak then move the Butcher for his assassination, has suspected the gloom spell failed half an inch from melee to Jaga-Jaga. My opponent then understood he lost the game. I just moved a wrastler to the Butcher's back and that was it.
Final match was with a Cygnar Haley2 Stormwall and double Stormlance list (...of course there's always that list in SR...blerghh...). Took Rask and we had the Take and Hold scenario. This match, IT WAS GLORIOUS!!!! Lost only 3 posse and 1 shambler (wich I sacrificed myself). I manage the eradicate EVERYTHING, scored 5 VP and left Haley to rot alone swarmed with Gatormen everywhere. The Stormlance's electro leap merely hurt some posse which snacked on them relentlessly. 1 Wrastler (on a Rage and Fury steroid rampage) brought down the stormwall by himself with 2 turn. The thrullg harassed Haley all game long managing to inflict 6 wound with his arcane consumption aura. We shook hands on round 3.
All and all, I was surprised as everyone else for the first place. 2nd place went to Khador and third to Legion. I can assure everyone that the Blindwater theme force is incredible. The meat wall the posse become is impressive. Still, I believe Maelok should have been a better pick then Jaga-Jaga, bringing more to the posse. Rask is an absolute beast with Fury on posse and so hard to kill with shamblers around.
Thanks for reading, have fun!
P.S. I just realized I only lost 1 health box...which I got by cutting Jaga-Jaga on the second match for fury...
