Hey guys, I played a couple of games against my brother today who plays Cygnar. The first match I won on assassination and the second I lost horrendously. I did have a last attempt with Calaban to put down Siege but the Stormwall just barely rolled enough to hit me on the free strike and down Calaban went.
My list was: Calaban - Targ, Blind Walker, Iron Back Spitter, Blackhide Wrastler
Rorsh and Brine, Totem Hunter, Hutchuk, Croc Doc, Alten Ashley, Mist Speaker, full unit of Ambushers.
I didn't ambush anything because the table we were on was 10" too short and I felt like that would be kind of cheap. Rorsh, Brine, Alten and my Wrastler all got shot of the table before they did a single thing...not even an attack...and I went first. I had a severe lack of ability to deliver my army as Siege can negate all your stealth and occultation stuff. I cast occultation on my ambushers and was hoping to deliver them first to jam his stuff up. They got mauled thanks to ground and pound and whatever else siege has to remove your clouds, stealth blah blah. I think I moved my stuff too conservatively up the board as well. He just cast feat and literally wiped out Rorsh, Brine, Wrastler all in one go. And probably a few other units I'm not remembering. Needless to say my army was neutered badly. I got crushed but victory wasn't entirely out of reach due to aggressive posturing of Siege. I know it was a terrible match up unfortunately but was there anything else you guys can suggest I should have done in that match? There was a trench in the middle of the map, covered by the firing lines of the Stormwall...and within charge range of it...and all his swordsmen were in a huddle in Siege's foxhole...so not much I could do there with my spitter sadly. All in all it was just terrible!
