Which faction do you think runs infantry-heavy lists best in Mk3?

Between Cephalyx and Kingmaker, I'd think Mercs are in the running for that top slot. Khador's also up there. Maybe new Skorne as well? Then there are plenty of units like sentinels and satyxis which make for fantastic infantry lists on their own merits but don't necessarily mean the faction is good at running any infantry besides themselves

It depends. If we're talking about which factions support infantry best, what gobber said. The best infantry however, I'd have to give to Retribution. All of their units have a place, and seem to compliment each other well.

I don't personally have experience with other factions but I can see Khador as a faction with powerful infantry. Between the Winter Guard (cheap but not easily ignored due to CRAs, the grapeshot feat and rockets) and Men-of-War (our equivalent of light 'jacks) we've kind of got both ends covered. Admittedly, WG are not as fearsome as they were in MkII, and MoW need a good theme force, but I'm happy.

If you look for a good infantry faction, I'd say Ret wins. Khador is pretty good, but Retribution has more good infantry and a higher percentage of casters that work with a lot of infantry.

Yes as a Cryx player I look at Ret with envious eyes.

Khador has some excellent warrior-buffing casters and others that can run single jack (as Behemoth costs so much)/colossal lists, with the rest made up of infantry. Irusk1 and 2, Sorcha1, Vlad2 can all do that, but in very different ways, which is rewarding in the longer term. Plenty of other Khador casters run mixed lists of warriors/jacks well but can be balanced further to infantry than jacks (Vlad1, Butcher1 and 3).
There's also a good range in the infantry which can be competitive: high-DEF stealth (Kayazy, especially Eliminators); cheap (Winterguard Infantry); ranged damage (the Rocketeers and Widowmakers); armored (Iron Fangs) and multi-box (Shocktroopers). So again there's a decent variety to keep things interesting.

Retribution has the best units, Khador has the best Infantry casters.

Ret, then Khador. Proof? On April 1st we'll be running a 'Worst List Wins' tourney. Build a list for your opponent to play, you play their list. 25pts Rumble, highlander-style, must include one heavy, must use all WJ/WB points, no more than 3 solos, no more than 3 mercs/minions (unless in faction), in order to be included unit members/solos must be able to generate POW 10 damage without outside-the-unit assistance (CRA/CMA/Gang is fine), no more than one mechanic. My Ret and Khador players are having the MOST difficulty considering what to provide to their opponent as 'crap'

Id say as Khador the worst list is pretty easy.

It has to be either Khador, Kingmaker, or Ret. Kingmaker gets pretty disgusting, but its not really designed to be run 100% infantry. Khador is a bit the same way; great support and some really solid units, but it feels like it is missing something.
Then I look at my wife's Ret and just drool over how easy it would be to sink 75 points into infantry and not feel like I've wasted my points.

It's Retribution. And everyone who says "but Khador has better infantry support!" needs to be Issyria'd more often. All teasing aside, PP seems to be almost scared of giving Ret really powerful casters because the infantry is so good... and to be frank, most of that infantry got even better going into Mk3. Yeah, losing AA for Blessed+Magical on the Mage Hunter stuff sucks; but Sentinels can't lose Vengeance anymore and have Iron Zeal? I'd have made that trade in a heartbeat if they had bothered to ask us first. I do wish Invictors still had Flank [Warjack] though. There was the potential for some serious shenanigans with Vyros1.

Don't know if I'd call it the best, per se', but the new Grymkin are shaping up to sit somewhere in the top five or so.

Retribution has a fantastic bench of infrantry choices. Not sure we are the best, but we are pretty damn close and we have lots of options!

Its just that new ret players probably dont even know that unit exists and old ret players have forgotten about them.
