I am organizing a small 16 man event next week and ill be playing in it. My list may or may not include a Swamp Troll, but i will not divulge my tech here. Morkai is stalking me on this forum and i plan on having a nasty surprise in stock for him...

Since starting WMH about 7mo ago, I'd say proxying a Swamp Troll in an army is always some of the most fun I have. I've repeatedly pulled a unit leader so far out of position that the rest of the gang were not able to receive any orders.

I automatically keep my unit leader as far back as possible, so he is like 8" behind the front models in the unit. With an 8" pull, most guys would still be in formation. Do your opponents just place their unit leaders at the front of their units? I mean, i do not do this in anticipation of having the leader dragged, i just want him as well protected as possible to avoid having to promote some one and move the command bubble. If there was a swamp troll nearby id be real careful...

In both instances they had Stormblade Infantry with CA and had the leader front and center for the extra range & damage. I know in once instance they thought being in a trench would save them, but I boosted fishing for a crit. It shouldn't have happened, but it was fun that it did

Also Night Trolls have been seeing some use in Doomy2 lists to good effect actually. That's really only because they fit neatly into the amount of points you have left after you include the useful stuff. Trollbloods Army - 68 / 75 points [Theme] The Power of Dhunia ......................... Leaves you with 7 points. Might as well take a Night Troll. I'd rather have a second Earthborn instead of the Bouncer and Night, as per Mark Gerow's list. A pair of Shamans can protect Doomy from most guns with their clouds. Maybe if I were thinking more in terms of piece trading I'd feel differently, but IMO Doomy 2 doesn't want to trade fairly.

From my understanding a throw requires a model to give up all of its initials, both melee and ranged and so the moment you lose the ability to power attack. I made that [MK2 thinking] mistake also, of forfeiting all initials to perform a Power Attack.
Dual Attack definitely allows a Power Attack AND Ranged attack(s) during the same activation! MK3 new rules wording of what options a model can do with its Combat Action.
[ps. My Swamp Troll crit-ed out one of the Great Bears last night, via Calandra re-roll, yum!]
Yeah, that's how the Blitzer and War Wagon can trample then shoot.
