Horgle PoD list I'll be trying out tonight ideally.
Trollbloods Army - 75 / 75 points
[Theme] The Power of Dhunia
(Horgle 2) Horgle, the Anvil [+29]
- Dire Troll Bomber [19]
- Glacier King [35]
- Troll Axer [10]
- Trollkin Runebearer [0]
Krielstone Bearer & Stone Scribes (min) [6]
- Stone Scribe Elder [3]
Janissa Stonetide [0]
Northkin Shaman [4]
Trollkin Runeshapers [9]
Trollkin Runeshapers [9]
Trollkin Runeshapers [9]
This would probably be paired with my Doom2 PoD list and therefore be on ADR but I am unsure of what exactly I would take in ADR (Mauler + Whelps would be a given to replace bomber if I want a more dedicated setup, the other 21 points are up for grabs). This would be replacing Ragnor heavy spam PoD, leaning on the Arm 23 glacier king anchor and the Concealment bubble to get work done. This would go into infantry spam, assassination heavy matchups (hayley2?). Considering swapping the shaman for whelps but I like the anti-cover/dig in "tech". Thoughts?

You feel that rune shapers are that good with him? I have only played them a little, but they disappoint me every time. I guess they become easier to use with sure foot, so you do not accidentally knock over your own stuff?
I am a huge proponent of whelps. I tend to go 10 whelps rather than 5 these days. They are just so awesome to have! And that GK will want to produce 5 Fury a turn, and even with +2 THR, it will frenzy if you cant take it all off most likely. In a ADR setting, naturally you can swap between whelps and shaman freely though.

Haven't tried them yet but they seem brutal under feat. That plus elevation plus concealment from the GK keeps them relatively safe (has worked wonders for fire eaters out of theme). I'll try it and report back.

Well, EVERYTHING is brutal under theme, but compared to Sluggers they seem laugable. Granted you can not play Sluggers in PoD obviously, but still...

Yeah, sluggers would be my first choice (and they're in my out of theme list) but they're the best you can do in-theme.

Doesn't quite feel the same as Runes of War, since that, for me was predicated mostly on delivering the Dire, using Runeshapers as cheap in-the-way-ers to hinder the opposing movements.
This feels more like, AOE-fire tag the opposing Warcaster/warlock, and spell/shoot him to death. Horgle2 is pretty brutal.

Got a game in against Rask this afternoon. Opponent accidentally walked into assassination, I let him roll it back then lost on scenario 5-3. A large forest in the middle with split scenario really hurt the Glacier King here, but I think with better play I could have dragged it out and eventually won on scenario attrition.
The Runeshapers were pretty solid but I question the need for 3 units of them, I feel like 2 units would suffice for what I was looking for in the list. I'm going to keep playing the current iteration a while more before tinkering but I think at some point I want to try swapping out a unit for a bouncer.
