Round 1 – Stryker1 Heavy Metal – Feora2
This was the fastest game of the tournament. I win the roll and go first, everything runs 12” up the table. Opponent’s turn and they do the same, Stryker pops some upkeeps out and camps a couple of focus. My turn I’m figuring I need to try and do as much damage as possible before his feat, and out of curiousity measure distances from my heavies to Stryker and…hmm, all within walking range…Everyone gets a second focus point. Two Reckoner shots, a Handy spray, and some ridiculous dice later, Stryker is down. This was also possibly the first time I’ve managed a top of 2 assassination haha
Round 2 – Kallus1 – Feora1
This fellow was not impressed with the Feora fire immune trifecta haha. List was Blightbringer and a slew of infantry (Grotesques, Grotesques, Hellmouths, and Swordsmen). Lucked out on killing one Hellmouth, but the other all but kept a late game Reckoner out of the game… In this game low model count came back to bite and eventually lost on scenario. Feora did prove a one woman wrecking crew though, feats and sprays and Blazing Effigy’s doing most of the work. Small things like forgetting to put up a Wall of Fire after feating to protect two lights from the Swordsmen added up to turn the attrition out of my favour.
Round 3 – Makeda1 – Feora3
This was just a trainwreck from start to finish, tried to tie up their front lines but feat (additional dice to hit) and Ferox jumping about the place put an end to that, completely forgot that I should be banking more on my threat ranges there (the list was built fast). The only good part was him wanting to keep Makeda away from Feora, letting an ambushing Anastasia throw a knife in her back. Otherwise….bad. Just bad haha.
Round 4 – Kaya3 – Feora2
Beast brick v ‘jack brick. Menoth’s sighted Redeemer cleared both Sentry Stones in one activation. Circle synergy…is strong haha – zero problems with my arnour. Solid back and forth trading up until Feora2 got into range of a Griffon and he went for the assassination, proccing synergy with Kaya. Unfortunately, Feora somehow survived on 2 (very poor rolling), and Kaya found herself sitting in the middle of a bunch of ‘jacks…
Day 2 saw 50pts, and I combined the best of both worlds with Feora3 in a Creator’s Might list –

Round 1 – Doomshaper2
This saw me play…a little more conservatively haha. Incursion and Feora3 spent most of the game camped out on one flag, and a Repenter and the Vassal ran off together to hold the other flank. Lights stood out front and took the brunt of the alpha, then Feora’s feat saw off Mulg and Rok, swinging things back to me. An Incited Handy to the face took care of Doomy, and between the Repenter and Vassal holding one flag and Feora and the Hiero holding the other, 5 CP’s secured to boot.
Round 2 – Arkadius
I knew the feat would bugger me, so a wall of lights was thrown as far forward as possible to protect the two heavies. Unfortunately, he still got a war hog in to the Reckoner, but some lights still managed to survive. Feat turn retaliation swept everyone in range that wasn’t going to frenzy (primal) off the board, and choir were positioned to eat the frenzies. He’d held back a Road Hog though, which managed to get in to Feora (whom I put too far forward out of simple greed haha), and down she went.
Round 3 – opponent dropped
I’m helping TO, this day was lax, I just took the bye and helped run the show
Round 4 – Issyria
Between a fog bank that delightfully decided to stay in place, and a well put sacrificial Repenter, we held off the unit of Sentinels. A boosted Reckoner shot, together with Molten Metal spam, took out a Phoenix before it could do anything, and Feora again camped a flag. Unfortunately, a feat, a boosted Discordia spray, and a light myrmidon to the face took out Feora after some very careful positioning by Issy to be able to apply feat and Crusaders call and avoid a certain Book’s bubble…I needed to have deployed the Devout over that side, as it wasn’t able to get around the forest and screen Feora from that angle. The more you know.
TLDR all the Feora's, all the Creator's Might, all day erry day. Was good fun
That infantry Feora3 will need a revisit at some point, as I'm still set on the idea...but I do like my Repenters with her.
