Spent yesterday getting idrians and deliverers together ready for the Faithful Masses theme. Everything is under coated and about 75% base coated now.
Aside from browns, what colours do people use for idrians?

I'm actually using a rather dark skin tone for all of my Protectorate. I see them as ancient Egyptian skin tone and would easily seem the entire nation living in a desert area "close to the sun". I actually don't know if that's remotely fluff accurate or not...
I'm using a dark beige skin tone with a mix of brown+burgundy for shadows. It looks okay but as small as faces are you have to have a powerful light and great eye sight to actually see much difference.
Also Protectorate has waaay too much cloth. I used Gravus' dismount to test my color scheme and his cape as all one color looked boring/lazy. So I've now shoe horned myself into blending every cape/ribbon/etc from a vintage white down to orange. Then last night I worked on Thyra... waaay too much cloth. It looks fantastic though. Sort of firey. I hope to have Thyra finished tonight so I can get pictures.

If you don't like capes and ropes you definately picked the wrong faction. I'm personally a fan of them

And banners and flags. We love ourselves some banners and flags. From Seneschals to Jacks to Banner-bearers to Casters, holy crap do my models not like fitting in foam.
EDIT: And then I picked up Skorne, and realized that Protectorate is not the worst.

I actually don't use the flags on my senny solos for that very reason. I hate having to fix them every time I take them somewhere. I now have 2 max units of deliverers and am working of buying a second unit of zealots for faithful masses. I think this theme is gonna be bonkers. In other news this Thursday Ill be testing reznick 1 some in FM I think he has some serious potential i that theme.

I also use darker skin tone for my Protectorate. I just wash pretty heavy Gryphonne Sepia over what I would have normally paint as skin colour. As for Idrian capes, I used brownish grey with dirt painted/splattered on. I wanted something more natural than colourful uniforms of the rest of my troops. link

I'm building him in Creator's Might at the moment trying to leverage warjack output. I'm looking to use him to replace Amon in my pairing - people tend to know what Amon is and how he plays and I think there's some real value in the out of activation movement and spell nonsense that Reznik offers over the sheer output that Amon provides. What sort of lists are you working on for him? Crucial list elements, that sort of thing? I'm definitely swinging towards the focus efficiency end of the spectrum (heirophants, wracks, vassals etc) to prevent him being focus-starved, but I'm interested to hear other ideas as well. The one solo I think may not have as much of a place is probably the book, as Reznik's witch hound ability somewhat skornegies that one away.

I am returning to the faithful after a break.
My vengers are painted now so I want to play some kreoss3. Amon, tristan2, and Durst look interesting.
I may try out the testament list that everyone's al excited about. Making Cryx players suffer is just part of one's duty to the law giver.

Skorne are the "desert people" as they are based off the persian invasion of eurasia. Menoth are based primarily off the knights templar and the inquisition time period. All of the original factions are based on some sort of war, even Cryx. Their appearance was then made to be a fantasized version of those that fought in that war. I haven't really identifed them all, but khador is WW1, cygnar is mainly the alliance during ww2... I just wish they would have included the china-japanese wars.

I prefer him in exemplars. one screen of errants, blessed warjacks, access to a reclaimer solo for future sight, and a 2 inch deploy bonus do quite a lot for him.

Or circle for that matter?

I used Citadel "Gorthor Brown" as the base for the skin, aiming for a north African / Middle Eastern kind of skin tone.
