Goreshade is confirmed as having been redeemed and returned to retribution. His new incarnation will be Gyrshyyld or something and likely won't work for Cryx.
More info to follow

I have no issues with this.(Except i wish we would finally get a mainstream enemy caster as an undead version and nit just some side caster) I will only loose my shit if he can take banes as partisans for Ret. If his spell list, abilities, and feat would have made him an excellent cryx caster.....that would be upsetting.

Well, current rumour mill is Ghost Walk, Revive and FM: Arcane Vortex, plus a version of shade3s feat The FM and Revive makes sense, but Ghost Walk just baffles me. Goreshade has literally never been able to hand out Ghost Walk, and his 3rd incarnation even lost Ghostly going into the new edition. Resurrection and Anti-Magic are classic Goreshade abilities, but Ghostly has never been his thing and feels very out of character for him.

The one thing I'll say is that he certainly doesn't look as good as any of his Cryx incarnations.
Goreshade 1 looked like he'd be right at home on an Iron Maiden album cover. Goreshade 4 looks like a elf got stoned and put on someone else's power-armour.

I thought the Cryx community would be outraged honestly. Khador was throwing a fit when they thought there was a chance Old Witch wouldn't work for them and Cryx is just like, "meh".

I thought the Cryx community would be outraged honestly. Khador was throwing a fit when they thought there was a chance Old Witch wouldn't work for them and Cryx is just like, "meh". Probably because Old Witch fit a unique niche in Khador. She's one of 3 Female Warcasters, and the only one in Khador to not fit the stereotypical western "ideal body type". She's a super ancient being that deviates from a lot of Khador's norms. There would probably have been significantly less outcry had Khador lost a caster like Malakov who's basically Irusk lite or Harkevich who's character is extremely Generic. Goreshade defecting isn't nearly as big a deal to Cryx. Yes Goreshade is a master of occult lore, but so is Scaverous. Sure Goreshade was one of the best at crafting talismans to create banes, but we now have Bane Witch Agathia who I'm sure can take over that role. He's not even the only "faction defecting refugee" Cryx is harboring, we've got Mortenebra from CoC, Sturgis from Cygnar, & Asphyxious from Circle. Goreshade really doesn't have a unique niche within Cryx anymore aside from being a deranged elvish abomination. Honestly if anything Cryx gains quite a bit of #designspace from Goreshade leaving. Scaverous2 can focus on his occult magic & necromancy skills without stepping on Goreshade's toes. Agathia2 can be the Bane queen and not have to worry about whether she's taking a space Goreshade should be in.

I'm more upset about loosing signature spells at the beginning of mk3, not getting karchev during mk2, loosing so much actual character and interesting interactions in my cryx. And now busy learning to play skorne.

In Mk2, I'd have been extremely salty about one of my favourite Cryx casters being given to a different faction. In Mk3, it's just par for the course for Cryx. When you've eviscerated a faction and pulled its guts out, does it really make a difference if you also hack off a limb or two?
