I think the trick with this theme, since our Vectors are as strong as they are, is to find out what the maximum number of free things (three of them) we can get, and stick as close to that as possible for infantry taking - 60 points or as close as we can get - and filling every other available point with Vectors.
What I had was: Aurora (+29) (total:104) -Corolarry (-6) (total: 98) -Conservator (-12) (total: 86) -Conservator (-12) (total: 74) -Diffuser (-6) (total: 68) Reciprocators (MAX) (-18) (total: 50) Reciprocators (MAX) (-18) (total: 32) Reductors (MAX) (-13) (total: 19) Clockwork Angels (-5) (total: 14) Clockwork Angels (-5) (total: 9) Clockwork Angels (-5) (total: 4) Enigma Foundry (-4) (total: 0) Enigma Foundry (free(1/3)) (total: 0) Steelsoul Protector (free(2/3)) (total: 0) Steelsoul Protector (free(3/3)) (total: 0)
I want to give the Steelsouls a shot, since I don't want to buy more Enigma Foundries yet. But if they don't run well, oh well. Still a cool list.

Not really tbh.
I don't see them solving anything in the current meta. In mk2 they relied a lot on the recursion making them able to attack once they came back. And mk2 had a lot more units they could actually go up against.
Now? They will probably be trivially removed. A 8 wound model might be better in every case...

Thank the Maiden I didn't sell those extra 2 Enigma Foundries when MK3 hit. Or the second unit of Obstructors, come to that.

faelin made me think about this theme a lot... First reaction is 2 x Reciprocators because they get both theme benefits. But the more I think about it, the more I don't like this theme :S What is it supposed to play against? To solve in the current meta? Advance move is theoretically only 3'' more than our other Theme - and is that even gonna make a difference? Most lists I see are Warmachine with a lot of Warjacks and some units mixed in. Khador, Cygnar, Ret, Menoth, Merc. I can't see how Reciprocators with their mere POW12 will solve anything relevant. Yeah Vengeance is nice, but is it usefull enough? I took raelin's comment to thought and came up with this list: Aurora, Numen of Aerogenesis [+29] - Prime Axiom [38] Enigma Foundry [0(4)] Enigma Foundry [0(4)] Enigma Foundry [0(4)] Enigma Foundry [4] Clockwork Angels [5] Clockwork Angels [5] Clockwork Angels [5] Obstructors (max) [11] Obstructors (max) [11] Obstructors (max) [11] Reductors (max) [13] The idea behind it, is not to solve anything in the meta, but to jam, stall, and win on time exclusively. Prime Axiom can make solos who can take flags, units you have plenty of, and Jacks you don't need because you contest till time is up via. great recursion. Is it viable to go for this (imo boring) strat to win on time? (tournament wise). I was thinking about the theme back in mk2, when Axis was running it, and it seemed to work back then

Reciprocators are P+S 14 when you want them to hit, if running Aurora Arcaine might their CMA. I like running 2 Ciphers with her, combined with flight to ignore most movement problems and Ciphers utility + strong second wave punch you really shouldn't have a problem cracking heavy units.

After a game in Legions theme with Lucant, i found the lack of pathfinder to be oppressive. So here's an attempt at an Aurora Legions list:
Aurora, The Numen of Aerogenesis - WJ: +29 - Conservator - PC: 12 - Conservator - PC: 12 - Conservator - PC: 12 - Corollary - PC: 6
Algorithmic Dispersion Optifex - PC: 2
Reciprocators - Leader & 4 Grunts: 18 Reciprocators - Leader & 4 Grunts: 18 Eradicators - Leader & 4 Grunts: 15 Eradicators - Leader & 2 Grunts: 9
Steelsoul Protector: 0 Steelsoul Protector: 0 Steelsoul Protector: 0
7" shield wall advances seem fun.
Shield guarding vengeance weaponmasters seem fun, too. Could be good?

No Enigma Foundries?
They are the whole point behind this theme imo...

Enigma foundries aren't as efficient without small based infantry to feed them souls. So i decided to use my free points elsewhere.

Exactly. You can only create 1 medium base dude per turn anyway, so..

My problem is this theme does nothing but feed the current anti armour meta. Sure it can jam, and it's more targets. But most people will have a list that can somewhat deal with it.

So true... It's a remain from mk2 like a handfull of other Themes (Butcher2 Doom Reaver spam fx). But problem is, it just does'nt work anymore. The meta is completely different and many rules has changed. Forfeiting your combat action after returning to play from an Enigma Foundry is just soo detrimental. It was what held up the theme in mk2, since you had so many small dudes. Would be awesome if CID could rescue this mediocre Theme...

If the theme gave Obstructors venegeance it would be amazing.

I would like that way more than the medium base units have it. Give me that, mk2 Enigma Foundries back and a reason to field Reductors, Perforators, Eradicators.

I feel like a lot of the reaction here is similar to the reaction to ghost fleet.
Test it and come back. Let's see how it does
