Pagani gives lots of hints, but doesn't detail all of the theme benefits. Could this be the theme Circle players have been waiting for? Hopefully it will make their druid units see more play.
As an aside, he hints at the Woldwarden going into the Christmas CID. I wonder what other models might end up there.

privateerpress.com/community/privateer-insider/insider-08-21-2017I'm nervous about the Stoneshapers being the free points he takes, while leaving 4-point options aside (it makes me think they may go up a point for gaining stone-rage) as I don't think Will will have missed that maths trick otherwise giving him a free set of Shifting Stones that we know are in theme...

Druids are 16 points, He need to pay a 4 point solo to reach 20

Already calling for points increases this is why I'm really nervous about Circle going into CiD I see no reason to increase Stoneshapers. You have to either take Max mistriders or fill Druids plus UA and a wayfaerer to get 1 free model. Both units are incredibly lackluster. The theme is hot garbage. Unless Druids and most riders get fixed it's not going to be played much and does nothing to help circle in the current meta. At least wolds will finally be up to par with enrage.

I was double-tapping the UA points. Phew. I'm not massively sold on Blackclads without a gargantuan animus, still, but will test the theme since, well, why not? Ghost Fleet and Shadows of the Retribution were 'garbage themes' on release.

Ghost Fleet and Shadows of the Retribution were 'garbage themes' on release. I didn't think ghost fleet and Shadows was garbage at all...I always thought they were solid themes. This theme lacks synergy. it requires you to invest in very high point cost models just to get the main featured units of the theme to work. It also highly encourages taking a random fodder unit to protect those sub par models. Basically its a theme that makes already pricey units more expensive by encouraging you to spend extra points in investing in making bad units work. Fix druid units and it will be great but for now the main units of the theme are just not worth taking it.

My biggest worry going in is just how vulnerable it all is to spell hate. I find a unit of druids do work (with a 'wrath in tow) but need the redundancy available in case of anti-magic tech...

And you make a good point, spell hate makes Druids very sad.

Hell, Eilish makes this theme cry pretty much on his own. Exactly what I thought, and why I dislike Arcane Void so much, expecially on a merc model that works for everyone... Eilish alone makes this theme, or any theme centered on spellcasting units (Retri mages? Greylords?) cry way too much.

Spells get hate that would be unthinkable for ranged attacks... it's odd.
