We have a blackclad theme list on today's insider (http://privateerpress.com/community/privateer-insider/insider-08-21-2017)
Relevant info:
- This theme force allows for the inclusion of all the Blackclad models while restricting the warlock selection to only Blackclad warlocks. - Bringing in Shifting Stones or Gallows Groves opens up even more support for the list - one of the most important parts of this force: you can include a Mercenary or Minion unit and solo in this theme!
- For every 20 points of Blackclad models, you can take a free Circle solo or Blackclad command attachment - Blackclad warrior models gain Sacrificial Pawn [Minion warrior model] - And note: you may start the game with all of your upkeeps in play.
Spoilers: - and while they are not particularly hard hitting (spoiler alert from Christmas CID!), after the Stoneshapers use Earth’s Power on them, their melee reaches a respectable P+S 18.
I like the idea and I like what I see... Since Pagani didn't include non-construct beasts in his list I'm left wandering if it restricts the list to Wolds... I HOPE NOT.
Should be cool to build lists off it. I'm betting they'll be 40pts of Clads since one one our best synergies revolves around the WWrath's animus...
What do you guys think?

Oh look another infantry mulching theme that doesn't crack arm.... *sigh* sac pawn minions is a cool benefit and I will admit it seems pretty darn strong with mist riders or druids acting as a cloud wall. Double fulcrum in this list will be pretty potent IMO but that may cause issues thanks to Fuclrums eating up all the fury. I look at this theme and just keep seeing gaping issues with how it plays in the current meta. No staying power, no hitting power, moderate speed, mediocre threat, and some semi accurate push effects? Hopefully druids and mist riders will get fixed in CiD. right now the issue isnt the theme benefits as much as the models allowed in the theme being highly restrictive AND non-effective/without a role. Also...minions in theme is literally going to be allowed in lots of themes...does this mean This theme can have more than just one unit of fodder for the druids?...*sigh* sorry ill stop griping. Wolds getting enrage is going to be great. Might even bring back bradigus as a high threat arm cracker. Here's to hoping people dont cry OP in CiD and demand nerfs to our woldwyrds

My Mohsar is intrigued for sure. And my Brad is happy about the +2STR buff CID 'confirmation'.

My first instinct on setting the list was. "Big whoop, it makes terrible cavalry and mediocre infantry slightly better" I am yet to be convinced otherwise. But I await cid developments which may make it good

Meh. it's a meh theme with meh models and meh benefits. I'll tinker with it when I have the time, but So far I haven't seen anything to convince me it's anything but a resounding meh.

Hopefully this theme will at least open up some options for our support pieces being where they need to be. I'm pleased we have "enrage" confirmed but I think that means we aren't hitting CID until near Christmas. Which in turn means anything that goes through won't go live until probably February. That's too long to wait for a working faction.

So we get to double-down on our awful-yet-iconic druids and our frankly underwhelming cavalry?
Blackclad models cannot be CiD'd fast enough.

One of the biggest problems here is that its another hordes infantry theme that just doesn't have enough punch in the infantry to cover for the lack of fury generation if you max out the free points. Tack on sub-par benefits and the need to take a minion unit, which also doesn't generate the free points, and its a horribly executed theme.
This possibly could've worked as written with one small change:
- For every 30pts of beasts or blackclad models ...
Just like the new mercenary theme it would make so much sense here giving us lots more list building options within the restricted model set. So much potential squandered. This is of course stated without any knowledge of what's coming down the pipe and this theme could very well be saved with a ranking druid officer release and other blackclad themed releases.

We aren't getting a bunch of Circle stuff put in the next CID and who knows when we will get our kick at the can.

Is just the next theme who punish you for taking the good things.
Is really difficult to dig into free points... I think a meningfull list can top at 8.
And without a good chunk of free points why play a themed list in the first place?

I'm trying to build sth but it don't looks great. Maybe some gunline with cloudwall? Druids with sac pawn should little harder to kill. conflictchamber.com/#c8201b_-0M4w4M4M4H4Hg4c9575ccR5fi7Circle Army - 75 / 75 points [Theme] Secret Masters (Pre-Release) !!! You are using a pre-release theme. (Mohsar 1) Mohsar the Desertwalker [+27] - Pureblood Warpwolf [17] - Pureblood Warpwolf [17] - Woldwyrd [9] - Woldwyrd [9] Blackclad Stoneshaper [3] Gallows Grove [2] Druids of Orboros [12] - Druid of Orboros Overseer [0(4)] Gatorman Bokor & Bog Trog Swamp Shamblers [11] Shifting Stones [3] Celestial Fulcrum [19] But I'm afraid it would be better in Bones or Wild Hunt.

Second thoughts after looking at our warlocks nad tinkering:
- Free points is not the only thing but it's a thing. We get 12 max which is very 6 months ago. I don't believe this theme wants the 60pts of Blackclads so I think it's more like 4/8pts. I don't know if we are getting new blackclad models but we are in dire need of new wolfsworn and clad solos...
- I don't like the Clad cav. POW 12 on the the charge with a possible "RAT" 6 chain lightning. Cool for frying infantry but that's it... The synergies are based on huge based models... so 50% of your army and not a plus in this theme... yay?
- Druids... in mk3 lost a lot. AD is what I miss the most. Plonking a bad cloud Wall at the 18" line if you go second is just... a joke. Try taking AD off the trenchers and see how fast the Cygnar explode. They are still a RAT 6 ranged unit with prowl, apparition, etc... A unit + a Solo give you another solo... Need to play with the Fulcrum which leads me into the next point...
- Fulcrum. Great piece surrounded by units that make cloud walls... which don't protect it... yay?
- Sac Pawn Minion. Great idea but I'm afraid it stops with Shamblers and that interaction contaminated the thinking. It'll be cool to sac pawn to the Bellows crew or to the Bone Grinders. Pity the minion unit taken with the theme doesn't contribute to the free points. It would make it all come together.
So I can see Fulcrum + Druids (35pts) + 2 Solos (6 min) to get another 2 solos... for 8 free points. Is it enough to justify less than models?
What casters?
Kromac1 would love it as he could do his beast brick and have an easy T1, alas he is not a Blackclad. Morv1 sounds cool but not having a 10+ man unit? I don't see it. Baldur1 can make a forest and protect his AD elements from T1 shooting and his army from Blast dmg... Is it enough?
Can Una1 start with Guard Dog in play?
Looks fluffy with the caveat that the clads are the secret masters of the Tharn and the Wolfsworn which are absent from this theme... I dislike ret cons which seems to be happening regarding Circle.

This is the 4th theme and we still haven't a living war beast one, that was all players everywhere were expecting. And we are the only hordes faction not to have it. I know they have to sell miniatures they have stocks of (Mist Riders?) but they should also take care of their players. Every time we want to play beast heavy, we play 10-15 points down, it's becoming annoying.

They could just throw the Mist riders into the warbeast theme... nothing prevents that
