So PP have confirmed in their latest insider they will be releasing enough theme forces mid September to get all models into at least one theme, in Cygnar the only things we have left without a home are:
Longgunners Precursor Knights Harlan Versh Victor Pendrake
Now Llaelese resistance has been confirmed as one of those themes, So I am wondering whether it will be a joint Merc/Cygnar theme force, with a combination of units and solos from both, and able to be run by casters from both factions. Good way to kill 2 birds with 1 stone, and would be pretty cool creativity wise.

I doubt it.
It would likely be a merc theme with access to Cygnar and Menoth models.
We will likely get a Morrow theme eventually.

So do you think that if they put Harlan and Precursors in the Llaelese theme in September, they will count that as being their theme in terms of getting all models in one, despite the fact they can be Cygnar models but have no Cygnar theme?

I think that they will be in the Llallese theme at first, and then also in a Morrowan Cygnar theme (maybe with also Long Gunners included) eventually (maybe this year, maybe a little after. We already have 4 themes so maybe the morrowan theme will be delayed, maybe not).

Well... technically... Precursors are mercenary models. Same with Harlan, Constance, and Gallant. They just have Partisan which means they blend seamlessly into a cygnaran army. If a Morrowan theme does come out, I'd put my money on it being a merc theme, that Cygnar has access to only if they're playing constance. Also I think the Llaelese theme will be merc only, since you know... Ashlyn, the confirmed Gaston 2, and Llaelese jacks and units found in mercenaries.

I suppose PP could make some sort of special rule to allow the Morrowan theme force to be played as either Cygnar or Mercs. Or perhaps more likely have two almost identical themes, one per faction; since almost all Morrowan models are Cygnar partisans it would make some sense to let Cygnar players run them in theme. Or I suppose they could just add them to some other theme, like Kayazy in Khador.

Llaelese theme will be a Merc theme that can use Cygnar/Protectorate stuff.
I dunno about the Morrowan theme. If the merc inclusion rule goes through, we'll be able to have the Precursors and Versh in any theme. And Connie and Gallant can already be used in Cygnar together. So we don't need a Morrowan theme to play them. Connie just needs to be worth playing.
I'd rather they fix SotT. Falk might help it out alot, but it just fails at being a good theme on too many axes.

My biggest issue whenever I try to build a list in SotT is that there are only 2 options for free solos. If the merc inclusion rule happens, we could at least take Reinholdt or Sylys. Personally, I could totally see an Arcane tempest gun mage caster attachment. Probably offering reload and/or some ammo types to a warcaster. Edit: so it is going into CID? That's fantastic. Where'd that news come from?

There will be a lot of people that will spend all their time there making sure SoT remains unplayable since they don't want anything Cygnar being buffed.

They aren't gonna weaken the test version over complaints about other themes in Cygnar. Just test SotT and offer feedback about it. PP is pretty good at sifting through the noise, and I don't think they have a bias against Cygnar.

Personally, I'm gonna test it with Haley1. And maybe slip in a few hints that she could use a change. She'd be the perfect caster for SotT if Temporal Barrier were worth casting.
