Welp, the box is gone and the Grymkin are on our tables. Played against Wanderer last night, using Feora 2 double artillery. You'd think that Hand of Judgment, 2 artillery, fires that don't go out, a max unit of idrians, a redeemer lighting more fires, and feora's flamethrower would cover all your anti-infantry needs.
Nope. They are SO CHEAP. There are just too many dudes on the table. He had a 4TH FARKING WAVE(first hollowmen, then dreadrots, then BE and a skin and moans, with his cavalry at the back). It was impossible to properly trade. He used his arcana but didn't even need to: grand total the 2 used arcana saved like....I think just one dude. He just rode star crossed and sheer numbers to victory.
Primary takeaways: -Monks HATE cask imps. -Free cask imps sprinting across zones suck to fight. -Consistent DEF 14 with star crossed can't be adequately fought. -Corpse collection and distribution is so easy it doesn't actually hold anything back. -Between these guys and CoC, PP has got to drop the idea that PoM is the "synergy" faction.

I'd argue PoM isn't the Synergy Faction... They haven't been since I faced them in MK2. I'd say we are the Buff faction to a degree. (side note: Protectorate is trying to be too many things I think... Buff, synergy?, healing, denial, fire...)

I bring it up because PP's vision for us includes that, but at best it's usually buff stacking. Then grymkin come out and show everyone how synergy is done.

At least it's faster than waiting for about entire new edition. And you don't have to buy 5 new rule books

(I admit I don't remember the whole thread so forgive me if it was covered) are the best drops we have Thrya and Reznik 2? Thrya - in flameguard theme?, Carnage to help hit and Silence of Death for RFP Reznik 2 - feat RFP and Death March to help hit

I don't think feat turn for reznik has enough RFP to matter, they'll screw that turn with an arcana. Thyra also has issues as most of grymkin fights melee better than ranged.
One thing I did note is that they, like us, have very powerful casters backing up otherwise pretty weak-to-standard troops (theirs just cost less). Unlike us, they do this almost entirely through spells. Lamentation is therefore amazing, and one of our gunline casters is packing it.
I think the solve, at the moment, is kreoss 1.

Kreoss' only issue is that the infantry theme gives rise. on the flipside, from what I've played of grymkin Flesh is Weak from Reznik2 can really mess up their game plan. It doesn't matter how many corpses they get if their skin&moans never gets to use them

Yeah. Reznik2 screws hordes hard core. and Grymkin are, oddly enough, all living. Even Hollowmen 0_o
