I guess I have to start again then...
Well, here's The Heretic vs Thagrosh1, copy and pasted directly from the CID forums with no photos because I didn't take any of the weird, entierly model repped army I used.
-----------------------------
So for my first battle with the Grymkin I decided to go with the Heretic since he's supposed to be the newbie Warlock. He's not my favorite warlock of the bunch but testing and all that.
My list was basically a collection of stuff that I wanted to try/test rather than having any sort of structure. I didn't go with a theme because I wanted to see how units preform without them. We also played with the new Bag Man rules on the Dread Rots. I'll bold any dice spikes or anything abnormal that woldn't happen on average.

Piggybacks (max)
Dread Rots (max)
Arcana: Reckoning, Ruin, Sacrafice
Note: Cuz I'm brilliant I thought Dread Rots were a 6 man unit so was playing 4 less dudes than I should have. I also didn't notice that Cask Imps have AD. I also forgot that Piggybacks have Vengence and Snacking and that the Death Knell has Protective Aura

Set Up
----------------------------------
Scenario was Take and Hold. My opponent won the roll and chose to go second. I set up:
Cask Imp ------- Glimmer Imp - Lord Longfellow - Gorehound- Dread Rots - SnM - The Heretic - Cage Rager - Piggybacks - Death Knell ------- Cask Imp
I had a large forest in my half and the only model with Pathfinder was the Death Knell so he got left to sort that out by himself.
My opponent deployed with his beast basically central and his Hellmouth's where you'd expect them.
-----------------------------------
Grymkin Turn 1
-----------------------------------
Running. Heretic puts Fury on Skin and Moans, Longfellow and the Glimmer Imp hide from the Hellmouth behind a building and the heavies and The Heretic hide from it behind a wall. The Cask Imp on the left moves up 11" while the other moves 8". The Gorehounds run up the flanks.
------------------------------------
Legion Turn 1
------------------------------------
The left Hellmouth kills two Dread Rots and misses the Cask Imp while the one on the right kills a Cask Imp, gets a Tentacle in the Piggyback's face and the third just lurks about.
The Carniveans advance and cast Spiny Growth, Proteus runs, Thagrosh casts Fog Of War and Draconic Blessing on the (my) left carnivean. Forsaken advance and pull Fury and such.
-------------------------------------
Grymkin Turn 2
-------------------------------------
On the left flank he Cask Imp touches a Tentacle and explodes while the Dread Rots kill some more for some precious if not kind of squiggly corpse tokens. On the right the Gorehound casts his animus and charges the tentacle harassing the Piggybacks then sprints away further up the board. The Heretic stays behind his comfy wall and casts Wall Of Fire in front of the Spell Martyr and recasts Fury on the Piggybacks who then charge more tentacles who all get given to the Death Knell which then shuffles and transfers them to the Cage Rager.
The Skin and Moans moves up behind the Dread Rots and pulls off some corpses while Longfellow moves to the wall with The Heretic behind it, the Glimmer Imp runs up the flank as does the Gorehound.
--------------------------------------
Legion Turn 2
--------------------------------------
The Hellmouth spawn tentacles and one pulls a Piggyback to the Hellmouth prompting a pun about pulled pork, doing 4 damage to it, while the other tentacles on both sides miss the Gorehounds. The Carnivean on the right assault charges the PIggyback (shrugging off the Wall Of Fire) that was pulled by the Hellmouth, killing it but it passes its Tough check then killing it with his charge attack and failing to hit a second Pig with the spray.
Typhon advances and starts spraying the Piggybacks as well, missing everything on the first spray, he fully boosts the second but the pig passes its Tough check and he goes after a different pig with the third which also Toughs. Generally, passing three out of three Tough checks isn't normal.
Proteus advances and the second Carnivean Assasult charges the Gorehound, missing both the charge and the boosted spray. Thagrosh advances and casts Obliteration through the spell martyr and The Heretic plays his Ruin card netting the Spell Martyr and Draconic Blessing as well. I also remove a corpse token from the Cage Rager as I played with the idea of using Arcane Vortex then didn't and I'm clever.
------------------------------------
Grymkin Turn 3
------------------------------------
I upkeep Fury on the Piggybacks.
The Cage Rager spends a corpse to become an arc node and advances.
The Heretic casts Gallows through the Cage Rages onto Proteus, pulling him an inch (I seem to remember something I said before in regards to Old Witch 1 and Gallows but I can't recall. Whatever could it be...?). He does it again, this time for 3". Proteus also takes a point of damage and Lord Longfellow strikes a pose because it's his time to shine. He aims at Proteus and hits him twice for 4 dice damage and does a decent amount to him (I think around 12-ish).
The Dread Rots charge Proteus and the Hellmouth maw. The first Dread Rot attack spikes and does something like 13 damage to him, while the second misses while the Dread Rots that charged the Hellmouth miss.
After a bit of debating I charge the Crabits who had been lurking around The Heretic until now to finish Proteus, which they do. The Gorehounds continue to kill tentacles while the Piggybacks Shield Wall up and plink the right-most Hellmouth maw for 4 points. The Glimmer Imp charges the Carnivean and gouges the eyes out of a model with no eyes which in retrospect I'm not sure he can do and the rules saying so are probably in the Eyeless Sight rules rather than the Blind rules. You'd think the Legion player would know the rules for Eyeless Sight but oh well.
The Death Knell moves up behind the Piggybacks and passes some corpses along to the Cage Rager while the Skin and Moans continues to lurk around.
----------------------------------
Legion Turn 3
----------------------------------
A tentacle charges the Glimmer Imp and misses while the maw eats a Dread Rot. On the other side a tentacle charges a Gorehound, hitting for 4 damage then dragging it to the maw which misses. The maw then bites a Pig for 3 damage. A Forsaken on the left charges the Glimmer Imp and spends it's whole stack trying to kill it. The Forsaken on the right does the same but against a Gorehound and only does 4 damage to it.
Thagrosh casts Draconic Blessing on the Carnivean again and feats to bring back Proteus. He then sprays a Gorehound, misses, then Obliterates it for 5 damage and the blast damage on the Skin and Moans bounces.
The Carnivean on the right Assaults the Piggys again, the spray bounces but his initial kills a Pig, which fails its Tough and The Heretic plays Reckoning. The left Carnivean assaults the Gorehound, only catching it with the spray and killing it on it's initials.
Typhon advances into the Crabits and Dread Rots that were around Proteus the previous turn and uses all three of his sprays to kill a Crabit but misses twice and the one spray that did hit only does 8 damage and he ends up having to buy attacks to bite it to death. I'm not sure if this is abnormal.
Proteus advance and casts his animus and the Shepherd removes a fury from Typhon.
----------------------------------
Grymkin Turn 4
----------------------------------
The Dread Rots kill the Forsaken and Shepherd and another pokes Typhon in the bum for a few points. The remaining Piggybacks take the right Carnivean down to three boxes (P&S 18 effective from charge attacks, +3 from Fury and +2 from Reckoning) and the Gorehound finishes it off. Reckoning switches to the other Carnivean.
Skin and Moans charges the other Carnivean, pulling a corpse from a Dread Rot and killing it fairly easily. Reckoning switches to Typhon. Lady Rose puts Enrage on the Cage Rager who then charges Typhon, again killing him easily.
Lord Longfellow shoots the remaining boxes off of the left Hellmouth. The Heretic advances and puts up Wall Of Flame in front of Thagrosh and Proteus and the Death Knell moves into contact with the flag.
---------------------------------
Legion Turn 4
---------------------------------
The Hellmouth kills a Piggyback and The Heretic plays Sacrifice. A tentacle hits another pig and does 2 damage then the drag kills it. The remaining Forsaken pokes a Piggy in the back for 3 damage. Proteus charges the Cage Rager and does 11 damage and uses and attack to kill a Dread Rot, then Thagrosh charges Skin and Moans, doing 17 damage and also killing a Dread Rot.
---------------------------------
Grymkin Turn 5
---------------------------------
Carianna puts Enrage on Skin and Moans, The Heretic heals him up and the Skin and Moans kills Thagrosh.
---------------------------------
Post Game
---------------------------------
Fun army, I like 'em.
---------------------------------
The Good
---------------------------------
Glimmer Imps, Carianna, Gorehounds, The Heretic, Crabits and Death Knell are all fine as they are, my opponent had no complaints.I do wish that the Death Knell had a ranged attack or more proactive support spell or something because for the most part he just sits about near where the bodies are pooping out his aura but I could easily live without it.
---------------------------------
The Bad
---------------------------------
While nothing stood out as underpowered the Piggybacks seem like they have waaaaaaay too many rules for a 15 point unit. They could probably lose Vengence and that would sort them. They're the right amount of survivable and P&S 13 is fair but between buffs and Arcana they feel like they can regularly hit WELL above their weight a bit too easily.
Sacrafice is too strong but we already know that.
--------------------------------
The Iffy
--------------------------------
The New Bag Man rules make it a bit too easy to pull corpses. While the mechanic itself is fine the range could probably be shortened to 3" and still be fine without being too easy to set up.
My opponent felt that Longfellow should have to choose between Finisher and Black Penny. Fortune Hunter is fine but as it's fairly situational but being able to shoot up character beasts that survived a charge without having to worry about standing still to aim makes him a bit too Easy Mode to use. I kind of agree with him. Character heavies are fairly common these days so it's not as situational as you'd think.
Thats's all for now! I'll have a Dreamer game against the same Legion list up sometime in the next few days.
