add a pair of losses on rez 1, one win and loss with feora 2, and a win with kreoss 2. All wednesday night gaming. Kreoss win was tonight vs Heretic. You played 5 games in a single evening ? OO Man, you've got to be living in a different time continuum than me!

we are starting to see the shape of things, finally. It looks like Vindi would be the best to recommend for newer players that aren't looking into our fire aspect. Amon has the play time, but not quite the win ratio. Harby is a little difficult for starters, but a good option for a second caster. Reznik2's base size is a bummer. Ah, and as I thought, Sevy1 would have a better average than Sevy2. Sevy1's +1 to mat and rat really helps our par level models spike in utility. It's still anyone's game, though. This list will look a lot more interesting in a month or so. Amon has a pretty decent winratio across several players, but it recquires jack spam. Vindictus is not that starter proof yet as these results are mostly from 1 player and we have no idea about his/her/its/apache's meta. Harby is indeed difficult to master, but the variation you can play is so awesome, still a personal favourite of mine. Sevy2 almost always has a game, but it takes a skilled player to take it home nonetheless. ~45% winrate was to be expected. Kreoss1 and Sevy1 are still the most starterfriendly casters we have. Straightforward gameplans with relatively strong abilities.

By this ranking Durst is our worst caster lol.
Basically if a caster doesn't have at least 30 games then it's difficult to judge the statistic, and even then ...

Can't forget that Sev2 squashes ghost fleet, as well, which is everywhere (my last steamroller had 5 Cryx players). On the whole, as statistically useless as this poll is, it's not surprising to see that 6 of the most played casters are Amon, Sev2, HR, Harby, Vinny, and Reznik2. If I had to make a top 6 at the moment, it'd be that.

Amon = 35-24 Durst = 0-4 Durant2 = 2-0 Feora1= 3-0 Feora2 = 2-3 Feora3= 2-0 Kreoss1 = 3-2 Kreoss2 = 1-0 Kreoss3 = 2-2 Malekus = 1-0 Reznik1 = 2-2 Reznik2 = 7-3 Severius1 = 4-3 Severius2 = 10-12 High Reclaimer = 3-7 Testament Harbinger = 10-4 Thyra = 6-2 Vindictus = 14-2
Another win, and another loss, for Sev2. Severius2 does not like playing into Una 2, don't even think about doing it.

Squashing is a bit too high, it gives you a fair chance, but it will still be a difficult game. The problem is, how does Sevy2 play into their other list? Topic for another thread though

OO Man, you've got to be living in a different time continuum than me! 5 in a month.....I just haven't been updating this thread. I just meant that the games happened on our weekly Wednesdays and were therefore not tournament tryhard games, except the grymkin player. He's trying to get ahold of how they function before he goes to some event, which has been both enlightening and interesting.
It's also kinda why he lost that game: as he's been experimenting to see what CAN work, he's neglected to be super careful with moves, which resulted in him countercharging heretic right into range of a fully loaded Fire of Salvation during K2 feat turn. For an errant.

Sev2 plays into some Ret Lists, can handle infantry spam also. Can do very good into Cygnar also. Don't look at him as a blunt instrument but more of a fine scalpel cutting out key components of your enemy.

These are the games I played in the last couple of weeks. Tried Harbinger with 2 units of Cinerators (in EI), but it doesn't work as well as 3 units of KE.
Testament is a lot more fun than I thought. I gained ~20 souls on both turns 2 and 3. The first time I revived over half of the models my opponent killed, while the second I feated and beat the opposing caster with my stick. Unfortunately, Testament has the same weaknesses as Ghost Fleet so people will already be teched for him.

remembering that I'm used to the win ratios being based on tourny/steamroller wins/losses, generally you only need 10-15 games to get a reliable idea of how a character will do with the current CIDs. Durst is a caster that eliminates our mathematical weaknesses, but doesn't add anything of his own. Basically, he makes all of our other models play the way they are suppose to... kind of like playing Khador without a caster. Thyra is going to get quite a few wins based on assassination potential, yet her play time will be stunted due to a lack of versatility and it will show. Casters with an extremely high win ratio, but not a lot of plays, tend to be casters that are "not for newbies" and require a strong grasp of warmahordes before getting into them. Casters with a large number of plays, but also a horrible win ratio tend to be ones that have a lot of potential or play into specific lists. Newer players that play for fun should look for a caster with the most amount of plays with the largest number of wins. Newer players looking to be competitive should look at casters with astonishing win ratios. Those that are used to warmahordes should look at all the casters they are interested in and compare them to the chart to see which one they should branch into next. Tournament level players looking for the next big win should look at the play records people are posting along with casters that have a rather average win ratio. This is so that you can see why people are playing them and when they are doing well. The creative tinkerers should look at this list to see which casters need to be fleshed out a bit more to figure out their utility. Examples of the tinkerer casters would be Malekus, Testament, Durst (why is a solid caster losing?), Durant2, Kreoss2. *hint hint*

Plonk in another win for Vindictus. He's incredible. He's like a mix of Amon (but for dudes) and Rask (but for dudes).
