I won a masters event with the twins as my main list with min Brigands+UA. Twins and Vayl2 are some of the best casters in the game for using brigands. Did you ever wish you had a max unit? What made these warlocks so great, is it occultation? If so, would that diminish the piggies' worth in a list with other prime candidates for that spell?

I imagine it's Marked for Death that does it for Farrow.
I'd love to hear more, that sounds like a really interesting list.
I tried out twins in no theme on Wednesday, faced off again high reclaimer Judi EI. Twins were able to take it in the end, although I clocked out due to being out of practice with 'em so take that for what it's worth.
I dropped the Hellmouth for a pair of gremlin swarms, as I felt the list needed the extra flag scorers / contesters. More testing will follow.

Sometimes it's upsetting how quickly one can get out of practise, concidering you wrote the book on this particular list.
Couldn't be occultation anyway, that's friendly faction. MFD isn't though? Cool

It’s disturbing how quickly you get out of practice with the twins. Such a complicated caster, and now I’m factoring in SR2018.
Still the most fun caster in the game, so I regret nothing

Two more games in today with the no-theme variant, and I'm loving it. The pair of gremlin swarms is a particularly great addition with SR2018, much better than the hellmouth.
An interesting weakness in the list is dealing with colossals / gargantuans. Rhyas won't kill one on her own unless she's very lucky, so there's a pretty good chance she's dying or even getting RFP'd. What I've found is that it's often worth just going for broke and letting her get RFP'd if it takes up enough resources to kill her. Possibly hold off on one FURY just to drain the hell out of enemy resources when she goes down.

I guess you could switch out the naga and a shepherd for the Shard? You have a lot of ranged attacks, kiss would give them the chance to soften up a target. Of course, the shard has many issues of it's own.

The Naga is just so good though.
I tossed it back in after playing a steamroller without it, and man I missed it a lot. Rhyas hates dealing with armour buffs, as she's only on the border of murdering heavies at P+S 15 WM. Similary, a boostable magical gun from the Naga is often priceless. If I dropped the Naga, I'd also want to include a mist-speaker, since not having a magical shot on the blightbringer can be a deal-breaker vs Menoth.

Nah, don't wish I had the max unit. I very rarely want to run max units of anything in the game, and brigands even more so.
Brigands are a good unit on paper but simply don't work in pigs. What they demand is an army that can get up and take pressure off them, debuffs to get around their weaknesses and strong scalpeling ability to let them cycle prey. Twins and Vayl2 do this brilliantly. I've even been considering Vayl2 out of theme with 3x min brigands+UA.

Sounds like it's worth to try a minimum unit of briggands+UA, naga and martyr/shepherd in place of the warspears and feralgeist. I have to say I allready look forward to giving that list a try, but I'd have to proxy chosen. Still can't get myself to pay a hundred dollars for one unit of five models. I like the briggands first and foremost for the models, but they are no slouches without castersupport either. Ran a full unit+UA with eThags the other day, because I think their movement game meshes well with defensiveuse of the feat. I didn't end up using them like that (I totally bodged the feat,as usual) but they did chew through a unit of champs under madrak-"wohoo-def16-for-everyone". Probably luck, but it was awesome regardless

Let me know how that goes, Harry. It honestly sounds pretty solid, although I wonder if Croaks might not be better than brigands.
For myself, I'm whole hog on the theme-free list. Loving it again, hoping to get in enough practice to make a decent showing at Bonescon.

Really glad you are having a great time with it! Iv loved that list since you first wrote about it and I allways enjoy people doing well with unthemed lists. Especially in legion, which was allways supposed to be more about synergies then a raw one-up.
I have no idea when Ill be able to play the chosen list. Really want to, but haven't been getting around to play in months at all.
