So I recently purchased a massive Protectorate of Menoth force from a buddy who was leaving the game and had heard I'd decided to join the crusade. I've spent the last few days going through everything and putting together those models who lost arms and legs and other bits on the journey across the States. In a tin of bits I discovered an interesting find. It's the beginning of a custom conversation for the Harbinger of Menoth. Someone did a decent job of attaching wings to her back. However, she's missing one hand and everything from the waist down - base included. She has her sword arm, but is also missing her banner. The banner isn't super important, but something similar would be nice to have. Now then: I'd really like to build something for her, and I already have a few ideas. However I thought I'd see if anyone on here has done something similar before and has any suggestions. I realize this might be a tad difficult to picture without images, but I'm not at home at the moment. I can add pictures when I get home.

Alright. So I'm home and I've started messing around with this project. I'm actually making decent progress, and it seems to be turning out pretty well. There's a lot of customization in this model that's already been done by whoever started it. My first step was to find Harby some legs. After a bit of digging through my bits and pieces, I found something that would do the trick. Ashlynn d'Elyse has a stance that fits almost perfectly, and forms a beautifully powerful stance for Harby. Ashlynn was missing an arm and I plan to play Harbinger long before I plan on playing Mercenaries, so I had no qualms cutting Ashlynn in half. There was just one downside: Ashlynn has way too much junk in her trunk. So I made a wire spine and began working with some greenstuff. It's turning out really well so far, and I'm really digging the stance.

So the greenstuff is still curing and I'm hesitant to do much with it because there's still a little bit of give to it. But as it was drying last night I gave it a little bit of a stippled effect to hopefully help the skirt blend in a bit. I'll probably be painting it to look like chain mail. I'm not very experienced with greenstuff sadly, so I'm hoping it turned out alright. I certainly think that it could be worse. Once this sets and I've got it looking decent (any tips there would be greatly appreciated) I'll have to do something about her base. I'm sure she can't stay on a small base when her official model is a large one. But she'd look pretty dumb just standing on a large base all alone. So I was brainstorming ideas when I thought of something. I have a Stormwall for my Cygnar army and I had originally planned to make it a jab at my buddy who plays Khador. I was going to paint the base in the same style as his models, and put a heavy Khador 'Jack wreck marker on it as if it were trampling over his army. But while I finished painting the colossal, I never got around to doing his base, so I have the wreck marker just sitting around. So I was thinking of having her standing on it as if she'd just taken it down. Does anyone have any other ideas? As for mounting her, I'll probably have to pin her, maybe even use a little bit of greenstuff to make it a good fit. Hopefully she'll be cured enough to try it when I get home tonight. In the meantime, if anyone has any comments or suggestions I'm all ears! Or I guess eyes, in this case.

So I got her on the base, and it looks really good. I may go back and add more green stuff to her back however, as right now she's got a serious ghetto butt going on. Sadly my camera sits right on the line for the size limit I'm able to upload, so the pictures better detailing said butt won't upload. It's sort of visible here though. That being said, unless I decide to try and fix her back some more, she's ready to paint! Here's the finished product! I present the angrier, more aggressive, Harbinger of Menoth!

Wow, great conversion. The wings are a very nice touch.

A+ good conversion. I also converted my Harby with wings and a shield. I hear a lot of people do that. But i think the change from her floating to standing on a jack makes her look unique compared to most Harby conversions.

Thank you both! I can't take credit for the wings sadly, as those were already done when I got the model. But I like how it turned out. After talking with a few friends and thinking about it, I think I'll leave her butt the way it is - she can inspire her army even further with it. XD
I'll probably be starting a thread detailing her painting in progress fairly soon. My goal is to finish her by the end of March.
