Honestly im not ok with rotation.
Im not interested in winning tournaments. Im interested in playing with armies that I make.
And if the rotation was only for tournament players, then they would screach and yell until only the releases for the new rotation got any attention.
In two more years each faction should have around 10 more entries, 2 more casters and a small contingent of merc options.
The thing is, balancing 10 themes against each other is way easier than balancing 10+ new models in the most relevant permutation that they can be taken.
That's my point, it may not be a problem now, but it will be a problem eventually (extrapolating from other games that do need to rotate stuff out to maintain a healthy meta).
PP is future proofing the game somewhat by basing the game balance on a macro-level around themes instead of a micro-level around the hundreds of ways each individual model could be abused.
Admittedly pure conjecture on my part (about PPs intentions), but I can definitely see the benefit going forward on pushing for 100% themes if maintaining an eternal SKU list is a goal.
Ironically, of anything ever gets nerfed in the future it's because it broke the game outside of theme
Personally I don't have a problem with rotation at all, and this is coming from someone that loves to paint and puts time into his minis (I have even entered some pieces into competitions and actually won a Master Craftsman award at a Hardcore event). Also I actually like the push toward all Themes all the time, makes balance easier and makes prepping for the meta easier.
