Well done dude. I am very keen to see how you played the Ghost fleet match up. Also, when your brain has rested from the weekend of intense gaming, It would be interesting to chat about legion in general into Grymkin.

Won round 1 against Tim Banky using ghost fleet. Round 2 I had to play against Abby 2 again with the same opponent as round four from yesterday. Tried to bait out an assassination on the wanderer, but opponent was barely able to clear all my road markers and killed me. Good job on the ghost fleet game, Tim is an excellent player so that is pretty impressive!

Running Heretic with Menagerie eh? That's interesting, I don't like how little he does to protect his troops but grymkin battlegroup more or less protect themselves. I was hesitant to run it that way though because he does nothing to speed them up. Do you like the build?

Good reading so far! Just got through Game 3 vs Testament and was wondering about that. You mentioned he was bringing back 8+ guys each turn. I played vs a friend playing the same list (yay internet) and the Testament player almost never got a soul thanks to Hollowmen. Was that not the case for you? Or were your neighslayers just killing that much??

I don't think he gets souls from self-sac. Only enemy attacks. For the Hollowmen we were thinking that my RFP effect triggers before his soul gathering effect (on my turn)? So maybe we got that wrong? If so that would definitely have helped him! (QuickEdit) Just re-read the Hollowmen rule and it says at the end "The destroyed enemy model is removed from play and does not provide a soul or corpse token." So sounds like no soul to me.

excellent reports and performance! Shame on that last game. Honestly Oracles is an awful list to have to play at the end of an event like that As far as testament, he does not get souls from self sack or the hallowmen. Sadly Grymkin is one of the many match ups that can just shut him down (especially in interdiction) Having said that watch out for him in faithful masses. Recursion gunlines are the hardest to consistently RFP for most factions I already have 2 units of zealots and deliverers ready for it I am so jealous you got to play Tim! I am heading up to canada at some point this coming up year and hope to get a game in with him and the arcane assist guys!

Why do you feel Abby2 is the hardest match up? How does it compare to Fyanna?

I mean from my understanding, you can just out threat and force fyanna out of scenario. She has to feat defensively which is not good. Abby2 gets to alpha and take out a ton of things. I think the child still has to play into Abby and you need to force the abby2 player into a bad assaination, which if they don't take, puts you up on scenario, and if they do take you can retaliate after assuming odds are in your favor.

Yeah that was not what I wanted to play into in the finals, but Cory was a fantastic opponent and I am just happy I made it that far. Tim was also an incredible opponent. He's a big subscriber to the idea that the point of the game is for everyone to play a good game, and I appreciate that. Good to know about Testament, I'll definitely have to remember that for next time.
