Does anyone know the interaction for a model advancing under the influence of doors of judgement vs defensive strike... does the opponent still get a swipe or is my model technically already dead? Couldn't quite work it out the other night... as how could he re-kill my already deadness...

A model advancing under Doors of Judgement is not 'dead' as 'dead' is not a game state, it is 'disabled'. Therefore a model can make a defensive strike against it and trigger the Disabled, boxed, destroyed pathway.

The model is already disabled so it can't suffer any damage. But if the defensive strike attack has some knock down effect on hit then it would matter.

A model which is already disabled or boxed cannot suffer any additional damage. They're effectively immortal as long as this particular state exists. A model under the effect of Doors cannot be "killed again" before he swings.
Other effects could potentially effect him though. He could be knocked down or slammed by an enemy out of activation attack in the middle of his Door's movement. But he's basically immune to actual damage.
This is the same reason why a Exemplar Seneschal who is Disabled cannot be killed by attacking him again. It does nothing.
