Hey guys just thought I would post what I'm looking to play tomorrow night. Looking at trying out Grissel1 as she can do a fair bit for beasts.
POD Theme
Grissel1 Runebearer Earthborn Earthborn Mauler Mauler Storm Storm Storm Max Stone + UA Whelps Shaman Shaman
I feel like the Storms should be good against infantry, electroleaps force the opponent to spread out their infantry and heavies should find it hard to piece trade with them due to repulse. Grissel can hand out free charges to whoever needs it and with boundless charge and rift can send the Earthborns 12" across the table as disposable missiles. Double Maulers prevevents losing Rage early although one could be swapped for a Blitzer as the list is only 74 points so far.
The two shamans should allow Grissel to play further forwards and cast calamity while being relatively safe.
This list has a lot of hitting power with 4 heavies and 3 lights. Calamity can be very good and can take the Scorcerer sprays up to effective RAT8 POW14. I will let you guys know how it goes once I manage to get a game in. If you have any thoughts then let me know.

I definitely like the base idea behind the list and it's something I want to try as well. Regardless would you mind reporting back to us with what you find?
The only part I'd question is the 3 storm trolls. Usually you want variety instead of spam unless the thing you're spamming is clearly under-costed, because tactical flexibility is so strong. Personally I would look swapping 2 storms out for an Axer and Swamp troll. Both will help with the anti infantry side while offering more flexibility.
As a different option I feel you could drop the stone to Min + UA and run with 3 axers. I feel they are usually stronger at killing infantry than Storm Trolls and the loss of stone aura is less problematic, because Grissel is sitting further up the board due to clouds.

I tried the following list out, and it felt legit. I have only played it once, so take it with a pinch of salt... | Trollbloods Army - 75 / 75 points [Theme] The Power of Dhunia
(Grissel 1) Grissel Bloodsong, Fell Caller [+29][*]Dire Troll Bomber [19] [*]Dire Troll Mauler [15] [*]Earthborn Dire Troll [15] [*]Storm Troll [9] [*]Slag Troll [10] [*]Slag Troll [10] [*]Night Troll [7] [*]Trollkin Runebearer [0]
Dhunian Knot [6] Krielstone Bearer & Stone Scribes (min) [6][*]Stone Scribe Elder [3]
Troll Whelps [0] Northkin Shaman [0] Northkin Shaman [4]

The idea here is that if the Bomber shoots a heavy, any one of your beasts can easily one round it afterwards. The slags have no problem finishing off a warBEAST that has sufferd two POW 16s when you get a free charge, Rage and an extra attack. A warJACK will just melt, and i am not even counting Calamity here. The idea is to piece trade with your lights and keep the Bomber and Mauler especially for late game. In the one game i did play with the list, (against Legion) the EBDT was a star, since he is immune to their shooting, and they need more than one heavy to one round it. If they send in two heavies to kill it, you get two heavies. If they do not, you can bully them very efficiently with a very fast heavy. I am not a fan of an axer in the list. You already have access to pathfinder through boundless charge, and if you Rush a beast, i will no longer be able to kill what it goes in against. Also, the axer is not as good at fighting heavies as a Slag or Night troll, since it only has one initial, and thus scale worse with Rage and Stone Strength. As a final bit of musing, i was thinking about using Hoof it on the kriel stone. If you send in beasts that you know will die on the next turn, you can move up the stone to allow them to benefit from +1 STR, but then retreat it back at the end of the turn so that it is not in danger. This also works for removing stealth on something so you can shoot it down. Many times it will be better to put hoof it on the beast, and pull it back in to the aura, but then you do not gain the benefit of +1 STR while fighting, and a night troll can make 7 attacks, so that is 7 damage you lose out on...

I've been trying to find a way to field Grissel 1 since MK3 and haven't been satisfied with any army iteration. She's considerably weaker this edition, but I still want to give her a try. I might throw this down and see what happens.

I have to shake my MK2 brain-freeze before I get the motivation to play the 'new' Grissel1. I love Boundless Charge in my Khador...Time to Troll that spell! [Side note: PoD, again, shows its dominance? ]

So I tried the list, against a Damiano infantry build. Can't really say that the list played well, but that could be due to the fact that Grissel1 is a shadow of her Mk2 self. Not having a feat kind of breaks her balls as there is nothing the opponent needs to worry about. I may try the list again but most likely with a different caster.

Damiano infantry may be one of the worst possible match ups for the list, assuming it is trenchers. The storms cant hit those guys to bounce and kill them, and he has a super good feat that messes with you. I woul try it a few more times in to different things if i were you

Was Damiano with Idrians, Nyss and Riflemdn. Wasn't a bad game, I lost on scenario after grinding down his list quite a bit, so got shafted on the scenario wasn't good. Grissel1 desperately needs a feat though. You definately feel powerless without one.
