Go to the Chain Attack FB group to see them. Here's our discussion thread for the new themes.
I'm underwhelmed. How do other people feel?
EDIT: Here they are.
Theme #1 Children of the Dragon
Allows:
Legion Warlocks - Lesser Warbeasts - Non-character Nephilim Warbeasts - Blighted Nyss Models/Units - Incubus Solos - Spell Martyr Solos - Succubus Solos
For every 25 points of Warbeasts in this army you can add one command attachment or small-based solo to the army free of cost.
Nephilim Warbeasts gain Unyielding.
You gain +1 to the starting roll for the game.
Theme #2 - Oracles of Annihilation
Allows:
-Legion Warlocks -Non-character Warbeasts - Models/units with Magic Ability - Spawning Vessel Units - Beast Mistress solos - Blighted Nyss Shepherd solos - Spell Martyr solos
For every 25 points of warbeasts in the army you can add one command attachment or solo to the army free of cost.
At the beginning of your control phase, choose one non-warlock unit to gain apparition that turn.
Friendly models/units can begin the game affected by the upkeep spells of the Warlocks in this army. These spells and targets must be declared before either player deploys their models. Warlocks in this army don't have to pay to upkeep their spells during the first turn of the game.

I like Oracles a bit, but it's hard to see how the exact limitations roll out until I can muck about with on war room. Apparition-on-demand is cool, and at least it can use our warbeasts unrestricted. Seems like a theme list where you'd basically want a beast-heavy list + BFS and hex hunters as your basic screen, and then you basically just get to give BFS and Hex Hunters apparition as needed. I think that's not too bad. Bayal is free with a beast-heavy list, and that + Apparition seems like it would make hex hunters pretty solid for their points. I could see myself running something like that with my Thagrosh1 beast-heavy list. It's something to play around with anyways.
But Children of The Dragon? What the hell? How in the world does PP justify giving not one but two massively battlegroup-restrictive theme lists to the same faction? Nevermind a faction that for the past decade has been defined as a battlegroup-oriented faction? First a theme list that only allows some of the most pillowfisted heavies, and then a theme list that disallows heavies entirely? How is this even supposed to be playable? Why would anyone ever want to play it? Not even Unyielding makes Nephilim a compelling choice. What are you supposed to do? Spam bloodseers and hope a swarm of ARM 20 8 point lights makes up for having pretty much nothing else of value in your list?
Maybe we have a synergy caster around the corner? That might work with a nephilim-heavy list. As it currently stands, though, Children of the Dragon is actually worse than playing with no theme at all.
edit: Unless you play with no beasts anyways. Maybe Rhyas1 with an infantry-heavy list might use CoTD. At least the infantry options are fairly loose. Everything but Ogrun, I believe?

Abby2 - Proteus - 3x Carnivean - Seraph - Naga Nightlurker - Shredder
1x Shepherd/Spell Martyr 2x Free Forsaken 2x free Sorceress & Hellion
This is the best I can come up with with Oracles of Annihilation. It gives you 20 free points though 12 of them aren't incredibly useful since the Sorceress & Hellion is a good but not fantastic solo (and is more used for giving free charges to Flying beasts than fighting most times). Essentially, you get a free Carnivean and Shepherd.

But then you don't have anything for apparition. I'm probably going to try and use the intended spellcaster units to see how it works. I can definitely see both BFS and Hex Hunters gaining a lot from an extra 2" of movement for their spells. It would make it much easier to get Kiss where it's needed, if nothing else.
I might be able to run my Thagrosh2 list under oracles, since I have one that wants Sorceresses anyways, so getting them for free potentially opens up opportunities.

Yeah it definitely doesn't use all of the theme benefits - I just wanted to see how hard we could push the whole "big battlegroup" concept that Legion is famous for. Turns out this is pretty much exactly how hard. The only way to get more points of beasts and still have support is to take a Warlock with more WBP like Abby1 or Kryssa.

Actually, another idea would be to take a bunch of beasts, take a spawning vessel, and get some free forsaken. A spawning vessel with Apparition could be cool too, and the 8 free points of fury support would make the points spent on the rest of the beasts a bit more flexible. It wouldn't have the raw fury output of Mk2 legion, but it should have a good weight of power behind it.

I was all "oh, my Rhyas list fits the theme anyway, I just need to swap out Typhon for a Carnivea...oh".
All I can think is that there's possibly a non-character Nephamlim heavy on the way. It seems really weird that they'd make this list knowing that only a four casters in the game can have A heavy in any given list. Either that or they though "well people are spamming lights in other armies, I guess it'll work here as well".

Kryssa can bring Azreal, Abby1 and Abyy2 can bring Proteus, Thags1 and Thags2 can bring Typhon, Rhyas, Saeryn, and the Twins can bring Zuriel. I know it's only one heavy in a list, but look on the blight side and all that.

I was under the impression that Grotesques and Striders (and may be Raptors) are not blighted Nyss.
Ravens or War probably runs heavy Nepahmilm lists better than the Nepahlim list - because you can take a Serpah, and Rhyas wants a Serpah a lot I think. I think it should have been more open, and given you free stuff for every 20/25 points of Nephalim Warbeasts. I think a trick was missed.

Raptors are Blighted Nyss Raptors, so they're definitely in there, but the other two don't have blighted nyss in their names or surnames.

So, Kryssa MIGHT be ok in-theme. BG of Azreal, a BT, and two soldiers clocks in at 50 points, so you get bayal and a nyss swords UA for free. Not sure what else goes into the list, but Unyielding seems like not total shite with this build.

Just buy 2 units of Wasps with Abssy2, they are fantastic and they are a unit. You have a target for apparition....
They charge at 16 under Alpha hunter and feat...
Oracle theme is insane with Fyanna, Abssy2, Twins and perhaps with Lil3.

Damn. Was holding onto hope that our new themes would give the faction the boost it needs. Should've guessed though... oh well.
