Went back down to Speed 4 but no other real changes (from the end of CID), this thing is solid as hell now.
Ranged booster and Focused Power got rolled into one

Clarification: No other changes from the last week of CID.
For reference, the changes from the pre-CID version:
-1 arm +1 cost +1 Rof (now Rof 2) Added Carapace When aiming gets +2 damage on ranged attack damage rolls Destructor now automatically boosted instead of +2 damage
Holy crap this thing is good

The Defenders of Ios theme got updated to the CID version as well, Swordsmen and AFGs count towards free solos.

Who are you all seeing the Arcantrik Force Generator being played with? Conversely, who are you seeing it NOT being played with?
Personally, I'm seeing:
Ossyan (if in Defenders, rather than Shadows) Helynna (out of theme) Garryth (scary Gary got a whole lot scarier, lol) Issyria in Defenders Maybe Ravyn? with Snipe + feat it threat 22-24" with boosted attack rolls.
Not really seeing a ton of synergy with Kaelyssa, Thyron, Vyros1/2, or Elara, and Rahn's unlikely to break theme for it. Haven't played Gore4 yet, so can't speak to him.

I think Spell Piercer is good on the AFG so you could certainly build a Defenders of Ios list with it and Thyron. For Kaelyssa or Ghyrrshyld I think the AFG is mainly useful if you run a ton of ranged myrmidons and want the extra 2" of shooting. I used to play it in mk2 with Ravyn just to get the extra 6" threat on the Hyperion (most people did not expect a direct Starburst hit from 19" away, so it got me a few surprise assassinations).

Rahn spring to mind, because you can have 2 Polarity shielded things on the table, but I don't know if it is worth giving up Forges for it. I will continue playing it with Issyria, good thing I had a Soulless in the list

Personally, I played around with the model a bunch in CID, and I'm a little disappointed with the changes. Not that they're bad, but that when compared to the already good TEP, or stuff like the Throne of Everblight or the Siege Adimantrax, I don't think the Arcantrik Force Generator will end up getting played all that much.
If you liked it before, you'll probably like it better now. If you already had one, its now a model that feels better. But in all my games with it, I don't think its an exciting model, nor would I recommend to anyone that doesn't already have one that they should buy one.
