Ive just bought a gun carriage, I cant wait to try b3 in wgk with it! SoD on the GC sounds great in theory.
@wekshhoppo, I also think thats the first time ive heard of someone winning a game because of a caster making a tough roll, good stuff!

SoD just works against GF, it doesn't do anything else since the +2 Str doesn't increase the Mounts dmg.
Also we had a Amon player at a bigger german Tournament who won the tournament because he thoughed twice in the semi finals against a Sorscha Assasination and then toughed again in the Finals.

I once won another game by lucky toughing. A black Dragon survived a full focus charge from Moros and Nayl, mostly because he was arm26. But I also passed 2 tough rolls and with iron zeal he wasn't knocked down.

They just have a Pow of 14, which is not influenced by Str whatsoever. (Goes for debuffs aswell). Fury works because it just says +3 to dmg.

However it would get take down.
Which is still handy.
I do plan to get one, but it's the money involved.

I doubt I'll see much Grymkin around here.
Or I'll play them myself, just need to convince my GF to let me spend £200 on the box and extras.
Maybe if I tell her I was underpaid....... Hmm.....

So I had this crazy idea to run Kayazy with Strakhov2, so I did that just! (The Winterguard are the Kayazy, as I was meant to buy a unit off another player, but he forgot them. He now reports to the officer at the local Gulag.) Strakhov2 -War Dog -Conquest WM Marksman Alten Ashley Kell Bailoch Gobber Tinker Kayazy Eliminators Kayazy Eliminators Kayazy Assassins -Underboss Battle Mechanics vs Grayle the Farstrider -Gorax Rager -Warpwolf Stalker -Woldwatcher War Wolf War Wolf Wolf Lord Morraig Wolves of Orboros -UA Wolves of Orboros -UA Skinwalkers -UA Reeves of Orboros -UA I go second, and deploy like this. Everyone on the circle side runs up. Unwilling to face off against invisible Kayazy, the Reeves shift off to the centre, death march goes on the Skinwalkers and Morraig gets Storm Rager. My stuff also runs, the Assassins get Quicken and Connie gets Inviolable Resolve. Kell, Alten and the Marksman shoot the Wold hiding behind the building, but Alten misses with a double 1. Due to very poor planning on my part, I lose all my widowmakers and the objective to ambushing Wolves and shots from the Reeves. Bad Hoppo! Grayle also feats. Morraig walks through the wood and tries to kill Alten, but he misses, his mount kills a kayazy and he retreats back into the forest. A few of the skinwalkers charge into combat, with Gang and Death March they are around MAT11, so they kill an eliminator and maybe an assassin or 2. They also Death Howl, preventing a few guys from receiving orders. Now, this whole no receiving orders actually works out okay for me. The Kayazy minifeat and charge, but because the front ones don't receive the press forward order, they can just walk into the back lines. They kill 1 or 2 skin walkers in the end, too many boxes and it isn't their ideal target. Conquest drops his big pie on a few models, and then puts creeping barrage templates over my kayazy to try and confuse charges coming from the Wolves. Strakhov also feats. The 2 eliminators on my right kill 4 Wolves. Due to lots of high MAT attacks, my Kayazy get shredded to pieces. My centre pretty much buckles, but the eliminators holding up the flank don't die. It aint going too well for me this game. Grayle does end up within 11 inches of Conquest because he failed to kill a Kayazy, but she can't get there. She does shoot him a few times, but she is unable to kill him. I try and gum him up with Mechanics, but the end is nigh! He easily clears the way and then Grayle gets a gallows on Strakhov (who wasn't under stealth due to repositioning away from combat) and he gets butched by skinwalkers. T'was a sad day in Khador.

welshhoppo what photo program are you using? Apparently photobucket decided to make 3rd party sharing a paid service, and I don't want to spend 400 dollars a year to do battlereports.

Growl Imgur. I have an account on there, and when I'm not using to look at dank memes and depressing things, I use it to upload images to private albums. Then I just copy the links over here. Works a charm.

It's been a while hasn't it? Jack the Ripper!
Just kidding, but I've had several games over the past month, but due to work commitments, I'm normally working the day after. Then I go home, drink myself into a corner, cry about my sorry state of affairs then go to bed.
For the past month, I've basically been playing various lists in the Jaws of the Wolf or Legion of Steel themes. Mostly because I have the imagination of a soggy sponge and I like taking the easy way out.
I've played Malakov2 in Jaws of the Wolf, Irusk2 with a Kayazy Jaws, Vlad2 in Chickenslayers WGRC and MOWST list, Butcher2 in both jaws and legion of steel and Strakhov2, Butcher1 and Butcher3 in legion of steel.
And I went 4-6. I lost with Malakov, Vlad, Irusk2 twice, Strakhov and Butcher1. And won with Butcher2 twice, Strakhov in another match up and Butcher3. So it was a mixed bag, but a good bunch of games.
My plan is to start getting back into a routine with my reports, so I'd like to write notes about my previous matches.
So lets start with
Kommander Andrei Malakov
Of which I played a game into Circle. If you really want to know my opponents list, look at the previous ones into Baldur, its the same guy! And not exactly the best list to throw Malakov into. Unlike his Solo version, Malakov has no real damage buffs. And I really struggled to crack a bunch of heavily armoured guys.
This is also the same time I didn't give Behemoth to a forge seer, as Malakov was hanging around him in order to gain the escort bonus. As well as using Veil of Mists in order to hide in a cloud and be invisible.
His feat was very good, however my opponent was able to make one of my Juggernauts Stationary under his feat turn, which caused it to get crushed and the game went downhill from there. Unable to get through the heavies, and with the kayazy dying to electro leaps, sprays and blast damage, Malakov eventually got crushed by a charging Wold Guardian who killed him on his initial attacks. Sad sad Malakov.
Supreme Kommandant Irusk
Me and Irusk (Or Irusk and I) do not get on very well. He seems to die a lot. I played him with a Conquest, Grolar and a bunch of Kayazy with Yuri in a jaws theme. I ended up playing him into Legion, once into Lylyth3 and once into Vayl2. I think. (I really need to get a better camara.) But in both cases, Irusk managed to die. Despite being in cover on both occasions. Lylyth3 managed to get the 10 needed to make Irusk stationary, and Vayl was able to toss enough spells into Irusk to get the seraph to be able to hit and then killed him with Swordsmen.
I'd really like some pointers with the Supreme Kommandant because I cannot get him to work. And I lost quite early on in both occasions, Irusk just seems incredibly fragile for some reason.
Vladimir Tzepesci, The Dark Champion
This is the same list as Loud Chris, or Chickenslayer. So Vlad2 with Man-o-wars and Rifle Corps.
And I don't like it, I didn't get on with it one bit. Maybe playing into Legion isn't the best and Lylyth3 at that, but my Man-o-Wars got broken down by Raptors and my Rifle Corps just plain fell over dead without doing much. Conquest was good, but that was the saving grace. I could not get Vlad to keep his infantry alive. Once the feat was gone and the Man-O-War engaged, they just didn't have the amount of attacks to get away, and they kept missing those 7's to hit those bloody cavalry.
I can't remember exactly how Vlad died, but I'm sure it was painful.
Orsus Zoktavir, The Butcher of Khardov
In legion of steel no less, I basically play the same Legion of steel list with all my casters, apart from a few changes in warjacks. Its One full unit of Pikemen, Black Dragons, Uhlans, Markov, a Kovnik and Great Bears. Butcher1 brings along a Grolar and Ruin. This was against Baldur2, again. A few mistakes on my feat turn meant that I lost another Warcaster to a Wold Guardian, as the ability to knock down is Brutal, as the Grolar knows. Some poor rolls from Butcher left the Woldwrath with about half of his boxes, leaving the Black Dragons to finished them off. However the Battle Engine showed his worth, and absolutely blitzed the entire unit of Regular Pikemen by itself. They couldn't cross the ground fast enough, as B1 lacks a speed boost. With my left flank gone, there was an easy path for the Guardian to get to Butcher. I've only played with him once, and I'm not sure I'll play him again anytime soon.
Kommander Orsus Zoktavir
For some reason, I still have a 100% unbeaten record with the 'worse caster in Khador' despite the fact that he spends most of the game cradling his nose as his brains drip all over the floor in a mess of arcane dementia. I've had at least 2 games where he has done nothing himself due to really poor rolls. In my Legion of steel matchup I rolled 1,2,1,2 for focus. Butcher2 did absolutely nothing at all, and it was down to my army to carry the day. I lost out on an easy assassination with Ruin because my Uhlans couldn't kill Zuriel because I couldn't cast Fury because I had no focus. This prevented Ruin from getting a charge into an ice witch which would have left Thagrosh in his line of sight with a bunch of rage tokens and focus.
I did manage to win because my opponent was unable to kill Butcher with Thagrosh, and the turn after Butcher finally rolled a six on his focus requirements.
I also played in my Jaws of the wolf list. Against Lylyth3. Butcher had Ruin, a Grolar, 2 Juggernauts and a Kodiak. Both Forgeseers had a Destroyer. Again, Butcher didn't do anything in this game. Butcher kept blowing his focus load and on the one turn I could do damage, the turn after Lylyth's feat turn, I rolled another 1 for focus. So I couldn't do anything at all. Curiously I won with my mechanics. They were able to score enough points for me to get ahead by 5 points and secure glorious victory. With Butcher having failed to cast a spell or kill anything at all.
But still, undefeated. Pretty good eh?
Kommander Zoktavir, the Butcher Unleashed
Ah, Butcher3 my old friend. We still get on very well, and I was bringing him in Legion of Steel. So he's actually one of the few casters I've played in each theme. And LoS was pretty good for him. It isn't so much that he does anything with the Legion, but they just hang around and kill things whilst Butcher gets into position to kill everything. Luckily, my opponent's Kallus2 list didn't have much in the way of shooting so Butcher was more or less safe from shooting. Butcher brought along Ruin and a Juggernaut. It was aggressive, and I was able to smash away pretty much 50 points of legion in a single turn. Glorious glorious blood.
Assault Kommander Strakhov and Kommandos
He's still my favourite Legion Caster, and I played him 3 times. I won twice and lost to a different Legion player than the one I normally face. And came into the biggest issue with this list (at least in spread the bloody net.) I don't have enough solos and Jacks to win the game. I lost 7-2 as I didn't have enough solos to control both flags, and not enough jacks to score both zones. But it was a long and bloody game and we both ended up with close to zero points left. I lost a lot of models to burning to death as Kallus2 has a spell that leaves things die in a fire. I also played him into Ret, which I won on scenario and assassination. I score enough points to win, as well as having Strakhov gutting Vyros1 to death. And at some point I played him into another legion match up, which I won, but I have no idea how I did so.
So that pretty much sums up my experience over the past month. I can bring people lists if they really want it, but I am hoping to get into a decent routine again.
