It would be nice if it just made forests regardless of the kill. Suddenly awesome against jacks/beasts. Suddenly reliably blocks los.
Brings it in line with other ranged creatures:
Firefly: Better rat, better in faction buffs, better melee, chain lighting and *cheaper*. Charger: Better rat, better in faction buffs, better melee, rof 2, and powerful attack. Minuteman: Better rat, better in faction buffs, better melee (gunfighter), effectively rof 2, Pow 14. Sentinel: Better rat, better in faction buffs, better defensive stats, shield guard, average rof 2 (gun kinda sucks), but *cheaper*
Repenter: Better in faction buffs, better melee, spray, fire synergy, and *cheaper*.
Troll Impaler: More pow, can buff str for better range damage (15 pretty easy), slam on spear sometimes, regens which is useful on trading pot shots, more fury and fury efficient, and a useful animus. Pyre Troll: AOE with auto fire (who cares if you miss), better melee, kills infantry on attacking it, value added animus and regens. Slag Troll: Way better melee, basically ranged weapon master against jacks/wolds and corrosion can be nice on some things, but most of all *cheaper!* Storm Troll: Really close stat-wise but - better gun that has chain lightning, better melee game with disruption, freaking Repulsor Field, and an animus that lets is slaughter infantry. Winter Troll: Crap, basically on par with watcher.
As our one of our very few ranged options - we get the Winter Troll. Such garbage and serves no roll, unlike the Storm Troll who has anti infantry and jack game and a better defensive game with repulsor shield on a regener.
Circle needs to start speaking up cause they just take these crappy beasts with a smile. Don't see anyone say anything, just o naw it's good :/

So I have a radical, yet simple, thought. What if they changed all instances of "living warbeast" in our faction to simply read "warbeast"? It sort of homogenizes the wold-type with the rest of our subtypes, but would open up all sorts of new combos (primal obviously, Wilder, caster spells/abilities, etc). It doesn't fix the wolds current special abilities, but makes their point cost and pillow fists instantly more palatable.

That would be cool, would make the Guardian a lot better since you can wing em at people with kaya now. Probably too strong though, as primal on wardens makes them way to point effective. We all know circle isn't supposed to have even point trading beast. Trust me, my dad works at PP. Lolol

What if the watcher gained guard dog and could be "cliented" to a model like the bokor. Giving warcasters +2 Def or Getting attack and damage bonuses while near another friendly model could help it a lot.

Sounds like a cool idea but can't be straight cliente or we'll just end up with WWatcher tag teams...

If some of you are truly looking at your wolds thinking "eh..." there is a truly interested person who is very into wolds, poor though they might be. This same person might have some trolls, Khador or cryx in exchange. This same person might even be on bartertown under the same name as here.
Besides, for the time being wolds might not be that great, but who knows what will happen in the future? Also totally love the voltron idea.
I had a mental picture of something else. Enemy destroys wold, it falls apart into a pile of rubble. Yet, with fury allocated to it, once a game, the earth itself can crawl over it, vines slithering around the broken rocks to form a new wold. Basically a recursion method but only for wolds and only once a game at the cost of fury. Not a great idea, but I thought it'd be neat to cut the rock monster down only for the thing to reassemble and start attacking again.

Truth be told, if they still had Shield Guard I think I would use them more. It's not like multiple non-character beasts in a Faction having Shield Guard is all that unusual with things like human Mercenaries, Protectorate and Skorne about witht hat.
And stuff.

A faster Arc node would be nice. But what I realy want of them is a better ranged attack. POW 14. Stay at Rat 5. You can boost only hit or damage, otherwise you sacrifice the modell. So POW 14 would not be too much. Also the range of 10 is a true limitation. POW 14 would not make it overpowered. The question is, would you take them over Woldwyrds? I would rather have them serve a different role. Giving them Shield Guard back might seem like a boring solution but IMHO Circle can use some anti-ranged game (with a majority of our Warlocks) and Bradigus might suddenly be viable again.

shield guard and a points decrease would be awesome. then you would probably see them taken over bokors.

I think Shield Guard just on its own would help. Woldwatchers in Mk2 were actually one of the straight up best point-for-point Shield Guards towards the end IMHO. ARM 21 with 24 boxes is not nothing, especially now with Repair about and Shifting Stones healing being ab it bigger. Be nice tos ee.
And stuff.
