So I haven't played since a MK3 release Journeyman and that wasn't Legion. But after my absence i feel the blight come calling.
Anyway there is a 25 pt MM coming up I thought i would try my hand at. A chance to test the waters before diving back in and it's for charity, so why not.
What would you suggest for a 25pt MM
Any thoughts are welcome. I can pretty much field anything but Proteus and Azrael. And that mat change depending on how loving and generous my wife is.

Abby2 makes everything great. But for a MM game, I would recommend Kallus2. He has Overrun, Battle Lust, fire immunity for his whole army, and some weird threat range enhancers in his feat, plus being a beast himself with a crazy threat range.

I would run Thags1, Typhon, a Carnivean, a Hellmouth, and a Forsaken(or a Shredder).

I think Fyanna2 would be very good, especially with a few neraphs, seraph and angel

I remember old Thag 1 with Scyth and Carni. Thank you for the help. With low model counts of MM would Aby2 shredder spam play at all?

I like the idea of Kallus 2 because i dont have him and my wife will let me get him for the event.
Playing around i got
Theme: Oracles of Annihilation 0 / 2 Free Cards 25 / 25 Army
Kallus, Devastation of Everblight - WB: +28 - Angelius - PC: 17 (Battlegroup Points Used: 17) - Angelius - PC: 17 (Battlegroup Points Used: 11) - Blight Wasps - PC: 8 - Nephilim Bloodseer - PC: 8 - Harrier - PC: 3 --
Was thinking that 3 - 4 repulses a turn to hopefully allow BattleLust Wasps to get on a caster. 4 dice on the charge plus crit poison and cont fire sounds like fun.

Battlelust won't work on Wasps. It's warrior models/unit only.

I will always try to convince people of Kryssa. +3str versus only a limited volume of enemy jacks/beasts, you should be able to slaughter the field no problem. Worst case scenario would be going against Stryker 1 or Father Lucant arm feats. Those you have to try and wait them out.

To be honest, I would probably use the two heavies, take two Shredders, and play a couple points down, then. I really like the little buggers, though. I'd run the Shredders to engage and jam, and send Typhon in and between the three of them a couple heavies should be gone. I like to keep the Carnivean in reserve as filler for the Feat turn. While a freshly reborn Typhon is just hanging out, the Carni can keep my opponent occupied.

Mangled Metal is not a great format for us, because we rely so heavily on fury support to get work out of the battlegoup, while Warmachine gets free focus on everything every turn.
With that in mind, my suggestion is to ignore the long attrition game, and go for explosive turns/assassinations.
