How did Cygnar's ADR pan out for them? Also, I heard in the state of the game podcast released recently from Tim (arcane assist) that a storm lance errata is coming.

Caine3 looks interesting
Darius and Stryker3 are still niche.
Some mid tier players will take it, but it suffers the same issue Cygnar ADR always features. It doesn't have Haley2 and no amount of Specialists can make you want to take one of those casters over her.
If a Storm Lances Errata is coming, that's cool. I don't hold my breath though. Cygnar have been at the top of the game for as long as I've been playing. They even buffed Haley2 at the start of MK3.

So goooood. Excited to see what madness ADR offers the ladies. While Calandra can be paired with any other caster well enough, good pairings at a glance seem like Doomshaper + Grissel2 and Ragnor and Calandra.

From my experience Doomy3 is our only reliable drop into Cygnar currently so any pairing without him just isn't viable. Which is a shame, because Doomy2 has so many good matchups.
I don't think that's the case at all. Grissel 2 can beat them depending on the builds, and I am actually looking at Ragnor to handle both guns and control lists. It needs a lot of work, but I think the theory is sound enough that it's worth a try. In fact I think I'll start a new thread just for that.

Seems like the theme is BattleBox, Generalist, Battlegroup, Ranged, somewhat surprised to see Doomshaper2 again. Then who is Khador's jack caster here? Last time I checked this was the trollbloods sub-group, why would I be talking about khador?

Why isn't Doomy 2 a good drop into Cygnar? Stay out of theme and take Rok for the infinite overtake. As well a 5" threat extension with any of your beasts (you took an Axer didn't you) on FEAT turn should really help you out. Earthborn can get a 7" threat extension. That should make even Haley 2 approach with caution. . . . or are you guys playing on wide open tables that advantage gunlines?

I would not recomend going out of PoD as RoK wont do that much in current meta against Cygnar. As for Doomy2 weakness against Cygnar.. well against their most common caster you will lose threath cos of TK alone.. feat will neuter beasts aswell for round and if you are playing Doom2 it means your beasts are not immune to Hurricane shamanicans. As for the RoK overtake wont do much against Jacklist Cygnar plays these days.

Overtake wouldn't help vs top Cygnar players as they are currently playing Haley2 in Heavy Metal, this means 6-7 Jacks + free solos.
And for the guys saying Grissel2 is a good Cygnar drop, that isn't my personal experience. They pick you apart with TK and Time bomb. You can beat the local player down your shop fine, but when we're talking world class Haley2 players it goes a bit off the rails. That said, I'm happy for someone to prove me wrong. I would warn against trying to use deflection though as Cygnar rarely care about Def14.

To be clear, I did not say that Grissel 2 was favorable against Cygnar. I said that she could beat them, depending on the builds, especially with Specialists.

I believe playing doomy in adr should help the cygnar matchup.
As an example u play
Edoomy in pod
Doomy - 2 ebdt - 2 mauler - mulg - axer Stone max + ua Free solos (shaman,whelps)
Adr 3 slag trolls 1 bouncer
Or even 4 slags.
Vs heavy metal u would be able to add 3-4 slags.

I'm more saying if I don't have at least a 40% chance of winning the matchup against a good opponent then It isn't worth considering. I don't think she has even 40% and that's my problem.

I think it's really hard to put this matchup into numbers. Haley2 has a hard time blitzing out a scenario win in SR17 like in SR16. This should be considered in your numbers. Which version of grissel2 are u playing.
