So, a somewhat embarrassing question.
Where can I find Retribution fluff? I honestly thought I couldn't have cared less about the fluff behind the game, but it has been bothering me increasingly much that I have no idea of the fictional background to my army. Which seems ridiculous to me, but it is there none-the-less.
Where would you suggest finding Retribution fluff?

The command book should have a basic primer and introduction to the faction. Beyond that, you could try some of the BI novels. From the sounds of it though, you're just looking for the context as to why you're elves are going around killing people.

Best sources of fluff would be a lot of the mk2 books. I would start with our Forces book which came out in 2009, then Wrath, Colossals, Vengeance an then Prime Mk3. Reckoning was not forgotten but it has next to no fluff in there making it fairly pointless if you're trying to learn more about the faction. Also the new command book which drops in June officially, though some got it early via pre-release has some fluff about the army in there.
Also IF you do decide to pick up the mk2 books, make sure you read the Cryx entries as well as it focuses a lot on Goreshade and his return to Ios starting with Colossals but he has a small cameo in Wrath.

I'm interested in the background of the Faction, SubFactions, and characters. I get that their God/s are dying, and they think it's because Humans are using magic, or something to that effect.
I'm just curious if there are stories relating to some of the 'Casters, that sort of thing. How the different sub-factions interact. The Introduction Guide in the Battle Box makes mention that Vyre and Shyeel don't necessarily see eye to eye on much, but I'm wondering about the Houseguard, and that sort of thing.
@ Demeritus
I didn't find much in my Prime Digest, the rules that came in the Battle Box. I'll have to keep an eye out for older rulebooks, I guess.
Thanks to you both! I'll know what to look for.

It wouldn't be in the little rulebook, you would have to grab the large hardback edition where it has fluff and kind of a "state of the faction" for each army.

Ah, gotcha. I'll see if anyone at my FLGS minds if I flick through their rulebook.

Lexicanum.com also has a fair bit of fluff for each faction. It has pretty thorough relays of fluff for overall factions and about 1/3 of individual casters for the state things were in as of 2 years ago.
