I didn't see much in the way of Skorne painting on here so these are Skorne models I have painted since the start of the year when I joined the game. Like any new player I started with the battle box, I also grabbed an extra Titan kits and a Cyclops brute. I started with the battle box Cyclopes While they are not the best paint jobs they were a perfect test of concept for how I wanted to do the gold and red armor plates that skorne have in all of their art.

Beast handlers were my next acquisition because Skorne. These guys were simple to paint up but were the first metal models I painted in a long time. When I finished these guys up I only used two coats of dull coat and have had issues with this unite chipping ever since. If you are painting metal models my advice would be at least one layer of a good thick gloss coat to help prevent chipping. This was long before the winds of death theme was announced but I was lucky enough to pick up a unite of Venator Reivers as part of lot I bought.

While infantry really isn't a strong force in the meta right now I really liked the look of the blood runners. Once I finished up these guys I moved on to finally working on my two gladiator titans. These two are a long way from done in this shot but man do they have a lot of gold on them!

Here are the gladiators all finished up. Hey look an agonizer snuck in there somehow. The agonizer was the first skorne model that I added blood effects around the beasts pain hooks. For this I used army painters blood effect that released in one of their Zombiecide paint sets. I mainly dry brushed it on but added a bit here and there with a brush.

Zaadesh2 has just released for skorne on may 10th but I was lucky enough to pick up one of the limited run when they pre-released him. This is to date probably the best paint job I have done on a to date. The blending on the back of his cape and banner was just layer after layer of Vallejo air paints in various shades of red. Just ignore the dwarf gyro copter kit in the background I was building that for my dwarf Kings of War army. He looks great on the table beside some titans and plays just as good.

Karax are an amazing unite that are dirt cheap and those shields are a blast to paint. Now I did get these Karax second hand so before I painted them I had to strip the paint off them. Two of the Karax were missing heads so I had to replace them. With how much these guys are hanging over their bases its a bit hard to line them up in a shield wall but they are still a blast to paint.

Having painted a decent amount of faction models I decided to paint a mess of castors. Of these castors I think that Hexy1 came out the best.

I got a pair of titan kits and magnetized them so that I could use all three variants. For any of you that have not tried the titan cannoneer since the errata, you should they do work! Despite how good the cannoneers are I have to admit the Sentry is still my favorite.

The most recent addition to my collection, the long awaited CHIRON! While I am not the biggest fan of his pose this model took paint so well. PP put so much detail into him that painting him was a breeze.

These are quite some nice looking models. You did all these since the beginning of the year? That leaves me kinda speechless. Im happy if I get to finish 1 miniature per month.... So jealous...^^

Good stuff! I'd love to see a group shot of the whole force at some point.

AdeptusB I will probably do that once I paint up my entire Zaadesh 2 force which I only need to paint up two ardus soldiers for and a solo or two.
