It's an absolute shame. And for them to just randomly shun the users to "Social Media" outlets is obscene. Thrown to the wind, as it were. And the treasure trove of information that was on the forums, is gone. There were some that was saved, but there was just such a ridiculous amount of information that was sent to the shredders without a second thought.

Huh...so I went onto my profile to check my posts history... I have had two posts survive the transition, after maybe 6 years on the forums. Yep...

As I said in another post, I think they are making a move to a different demographic. Don't be surprised if Steamroller is more wacky and less exact balance than previous versions. The CID even has very strict guidelines on what can be changed on a model and what will not be changed and which models must remain easy to play for new players.

Since Ive not got access to CID yet could you share the Guidelines at all? Better yet also like to see what the Grymkin look like.

I think if this is the case, it will be their death knell. For many people (not all), the entire reason they went to Warmahordes was the desire to have a solid, competitive-focus game with clear rules which was 180 the direction that GW was going (and still is going, despite some positive changes). This is going to sound really harsh but I have no other way to say it and mean what I mean: If they make the game into some casual scrubfest like GW did, I'll look elsewhere. I may be a wannabe when it comes to competitive games, but damn it I want to have the carrot on the stick.

I really hope they are smarter than trying to compete with GW on GW's home turf.

I really hope they are smarter than trying to compete with GW on GW's home turf. I would hope so, given that the main reason GW retains people is because they are enthralled with the quality of the figures and that trumps everything else. PP can't compete on any front with that, even if some of their newer figures look nice, GW owns the market of people who will ignore a bad game if they get pretty figures. Like, PP's fanbase seems a lot more likely to turn away, while GW's have always struck me as being like Apple fanboys (which is why GW likens itself to Apple all the time) in that they don't care about anything else, as long as it comes from GW it's good. PP fans are more like Android fans in the sense they usually aren't tied to one manufacturer and if say Samsung makes a bad phone, they'll go to LG or Motorola or whatever instead in a heartbeat.

I super sadly agree. I want WarmaHordes. If WarmaHordes stops being WarmaHordes, then it wont be what I want anymore. Here's to hoping that's not the case.

It's sad to because basically any form of questioning or even slightly negative connotation is being flagged and infracted. it's kind of ridiculous to basically police the opinion of people to the regard they are.
They want to make the game more newer player friendly, and yet more often than not it's the older players that sell this game to newer ones. I don't know if I can in good conscience at this time recommend this game to anyone until PP figures out what they're doing and the direction they're going.
