I got my first Monpoc minis recently. Tyson ninjad me the hyper mode Defender X and Terra Khan. I mostly got them as an art project. I'm going to try running LED up inside them and then painting them so only certain parts so the glow. Hoping to make Terra Khan look like he's about to use a Godzilla style atomic breath. Wait, are you saying they are releasing clear resin versions of Defender X and Terra Khan? That's great! Slightly miffed that those are the only two monsters I actually own right now... normally I would be all over an LED project, but I don't have the time these days. Ah well. Yeah, they had several monsters in transparent plastic hyper mode at Lock and Load.

I guess those will end up being like other "con exclusives" - available online at the right times?

OK, I just spent a couple of hours trying to figure out what thread adapters I need for my airbrush. Why the hell are there so many different thread standards? And why does every airbrush manufacturer have their own proprietary threads? MADNESS! I think I figured out what I need, now I just need to wait two or three weeks for the parts to arrive in the mail... and then hope that they actually fit... sigh.

I think you answered your own question, there.

Standing in the will-call line at GenCon to pick up my one-day badge.
Why?
I swore last year that I wouldn’t do this again.

Cool, have fun at gen con!
As far as my life goes, I had a sudden car based expense so that’s put a fair bit of pressure on my finances. But in better news, I completed my first painting commission and immediately got another from the same person as he was very pleased.
Also offically started a D&D campaign. Not with the group I was expecting to but actually my old group of friends from years ago. We’re playing in the Castle ravenloft setting and I’m playing an air Genasi Rogue. So far it’s lots of fun and I’m very excited for the future!

It'll be replaced with another Star Wars game, but this time set in the clone wars.

My memory is actually too good. It is a detriment in some circumstances. Over the last 4 years at work I have gone from “on call every 9 weeks” to “on call every other week”, and I got woken up at 5 AM last Sunday morning for a reason that was beyond trivial (changing the permissions on a file) and I got pissed and decided I was taking a day off this week and going to GenCon. Anyway. Stuff.

I’ve done a bit of that, but most of my Star Wars rpg experiences come from Saga Edition. Which I played and DM’d soooooo much of. XD Clone Wars is a fun setting. I spent many months playing as Dralla Volta, the Twi’lek Jedi Knight. Dual wielder of Lightsabers(one belonging to her fallen master), and very combat oriented. Good times.

Speaking of, I'm thinking about starting work on a new campaign since a fair amount of my free time is in the middle of the night. I really don't care for D&D 5E or the new L5R so I'm shopping for a new system. Anybody got any suggestions?

I'm using Fantasy Flight's system. I rather like it. I plan to have them plan to have them play clones under the command of Master Tholme. He was Quinlan Vos' master, and was killed early in the war by Ventress.
