I think my wife might object. She needs me to look after the kids when the MS hits hard. Nice thinking though. Hmm. I admit that I forgot about that part. Seemingly nonsensical solution that might actually work as a solution: just increase the funding amount so you can hire a babysitter for that time. Also: hmm.

Maybe it’s just my giddy pre-L&L-vacation-upbeat-spirits talking, but I am intrigued by this stupid “GoFundMe so people can travel to play Unbound” idea. Maybe I am just fixated on the idea of playing new, non-local Unbound opponents. I feel (mildly) bad for the one local who is like 0-6 against me in Unbound. Hmm, yet again.

I've not played in so long you can probably go 0-6 against me in a day. I can see it now. CU Me: "Well dang. I lose again." Michael: "Y'know normally these things take longer." CU Me: "Yeah, I'm rusty." Michael: "Not sure it's that. See that guy coming out from taking a leak? He went into the restroom just after we started." CU Me: "Okay seriously rusty."

I promise it will take longer than that. My 0-6 buddy needed over an hour to deploy in one of his games... (To be fair, that was when he was facing 300 points of pre-nerf Jaws of the Wolf, so he had no Advance Deployment, and I won the roll and made him go first, so he had a 7” deployment zone in which to put 300 points of Skorne models including multiple huge bases. Yes, deployment took a little longer because he was tilted when I revealed my list and then made him go first...)

So...how many points and how many casters generally is an Unbound game, and do themes apply? And if so does every caster play the same theme? Can you feat twice in a round with both casters (stacking feats)?

So...how many points and how many casters generally is an Unbound game, and do themes apply? And if so does every caster play the same theme? Can you feat twice in a round with both casters (stacking feats)? So, long story short: check out No Quarter Prime #2 for most of that info. 6’ x 4’ table, 3+ casters, 225+ points. Fun fact: I have played more games of Unbound than Jason Soles, who developed the format. The watered-down “for mass consumption” army construction rules are in NQP #2, but I wrote up my own variant on that version based upon my experiences with it. My version allows for some more flexibility in army construction (it’s closer to MK II Unbound in some respects, while maintaining some of the necessary MK III version streamlining) and rewards players for being crazy enough to play only a single theme force. Unofficially, I talk to Soles about Unbound ever year, and he likes my version. (It got an unofficial blessing, a comment to the effect of “That sounds cool; I’d play that.”) The final rules that ended up in NQP #2 were simplified for mass consumption (MK II Unbound required some serious commitment) and are rather rigid and inflexible when it comes to list building. Having played my version multiple times now, I can say that it is super-awesome and probably the best thing ever, sort of like me.

And I hear ya, I’ve not played in about two years now. But I’m painting so many D&D models. It’s awesome.

Well, Infinity is slowly becoming a thing here and we have a Blood Bowl League ( hopefully) starting late August. Hope that can pull Wargaming out of the slump a little around here. Because Warhammer Underworlds is just meh.
@princesssparklefist Just painting D&D minis or playing too?

Just painting. My bff and I are trying to get support for a game though. She’s ready to dm and I have a Pixie Druid with a full backstory ready to go. We just need to get a few other friends to commit.
So until then I’m just painting models because I enjoy it. The WizKids line is pretty great so I’ve been working my way through that.

D&D5? My group is still playing pathfinder, plenty of material to go with.
Currently running a human paladin, albeit hailing from a noble family brimming with draconic heritage-enhanced magic. With me being the arcane-less black sheep :v
