What are people planning to get when our new releases drop? I mean, clearly we're all going to get everything eventually, but what are people's plans for what to get immediately in terms of our new releases (Themes, new stuff, AFG...)
Personally, I'm planning to pick up the Spears, a Priest of Nyssor, Hemera, the Fane Knight, and the Arcanist unit. I keep looking for ways to fit the new infantry into my lists, but I'm not seeing anything they do particularly better than what we already have. Aelyth and G4 are both underwhelming tending to bad, IMO,so I don't think I'll pick them up either.
On the other hand, I'm seeing some pretty serious utility with the spears and E3 - they provide a pretty good delivery mechanism for her, and there's some symbiosis there in that she speeds them up with AD, and they can speed her up with shield-guarding vengeance (assuming I'm reading that rule correctly.) Also, DEF 17 in melee is pretty painful to deal with if your opponent hasn't brought the tech for it.
Depending on how CID shakes out, I might pick up the AFG, too - it's always been on my radar, but I think it might just make the cut for me now, and get me over my aversion to transporting multiple huge-based models.
As to themes, I'm not seeing a ton of new stuff that I want there. I have two units of halberdiers, which I think should be plenty given my general aversion to spam/fear of nerfing, and I already have more than the full FA of everything in the shadows theme.
What are you all thinking?

Personally, I'm going to grab the Fane Knight Guardian (that guy is a boss, and makes me very happy to run Thyron again!) and then I'm kind of unsure. Not tried Hemera yet, but she seems solid. The Ellowuyr Swordsmen are great (even before the CA I thought they were solid) so they're probably second on my list. Goreshade is a bit disappointing so I'm not certain I want to grab him, though he is a Warcaster, so it's usually worthwhile!
Ryssovass I'm super torn over. On the one hand they're gorgeous; on the other they're crap on the table! So I'm not sure if I want to pick them up or not. I'll likely leave them until much more substantial testing when I can find a good place for them (or otherwise determine if they truly are crap and just leave them.)
The Spears I do really like so they're probably fifth on my list after Aelyth Vyr, who is a total boss, and Hemera.

For me the only things that I am absolutely sure of is that I am going to picking myself up a Fane Knight Guardian and Elara2 as I just barely missed her at GenCon. Beyond that? I really don't know. My collection is still fairly small so it seems that there are other models on the list above all the new stuff (namely electromancers) but HES seem really solid especially if we begin to see more infantry in SR2017. As far as honorable mentions go it would have to be the Spears of Scyrah. They are really bland for a character unit, they don't event have names, but I still think they are effective and the Spears+Eiryss Combo could be really fun.

4Shade, Fane Knight, Spears, x2 Shyeel Arcanists, and Hemera at drop, plus 3 more Vyre jack kits(I've been tinkering around with sphinx spam with the new arcanists). Beyond that, I'll likely pick up the rest after the first wave of Grymkin

I'll just be picking up the Spears out of the new stuff, though I'll also be getting a Gorgon and a couple of solos to make my current lists fit into the new theme forces. I want to focus on Elara2 and Kaelyssa and get them down pat before branching out.
When I do start testing a new pair it will probably be Ravyn and Issyria, and for that I'll want Hemera and the Fane Knight for sure. I might pick up some Nyss because the models are sweet and there's some synergy to be had by taking a Nyss-heavy army, but that's too far in the future to say for certain.

Grabbing it all, including doubles of the priest and arcanist unit and likely somewhere down the line a 2nd unit of Defenders. I actually like all of our releases, and while I don't think G4 is setting the world on fire, I think he has more game than people give him credit for.

My first order will be Fane Knight Guardian, Aelyth Vyr, Ellowuyr swordsmen and Hemera. I'll pick up the rest eventually for sure, but those are the models that interest me most to start with.

Likely at least one of everything, two of the nyss solos. Magic sprays are great for Rahn, and I am excited to put the Spears on the table. The Fane Knight is awesome for Thyron.

We did get a lot of new tools that once people get some time to play them I think they'll find more use than people expect. I agree 100%. Every release seems like it's good with at least a caster or two. Probably nothing that will become ubiquitous, but more options is never a bad thing  |

Ah, that is my "most wanted" list as well. I'll add Elara2 because I haven't been able to find her so far (and I already have a painted AFG). Also, I have to assemble the Vyre kit I have lying about before I start investing in more... |
